Up for auction is this neat Texas Instruments 99/4A Home Computer. I found this at an estate sale- it was purchased new by an elderly retired schoolteacher. She bought it new for use in her classroom. But apparently her school decided to go with another platform, and so this was stuffed in a closet and forgotten for nearly 30 years. It was unclear if this computer was ever actually powered on, but given that the power supply and video convertor box appear to be sealed in their original plastic(and the seal on the little cardboard sleeve is still intact) I'm guessing it was never actually powered on. Vintage Texas Instruments Professional Computer Microsoft Flight Simulator
Up for sale is a very rare vintage Texas Instruments Professional Computer from the early 80's. This computer is in working order but has these issues: The keyboard is missing 2 keys. One of the adjustment knobs on the monitor is broke off, the MS flight Simulator disk has a bad sector when viewing the game demo, but does not affect actual game play. Also has some scratches and small rust spots due to age and from storage over the years. The computer turns on and boots to play the game without any problems. Also included is the original MS-DOS 1.0 booklet, but I do not have the disk. Software for this machine can be found on ebay, but is hard to find since this is such a rare machine. For sale is a vintage 1975 edition of the Handbook which accompanied a Texas Instrument Learning Center presentation on Microprocessors. It is a step-by-step presentation. With photos of the slides that were shown, and a complete written explanation of what each slide was showing(see photos 3& 4) The Handbook is bound with a plastic spiral, which is still in nice condition. The Handbook is 225 pages, with no writing or notes on any of them. The notes in the handbook were so complete that no notes needed to be taken, and all information was there for future reference. At the back of the handbook is a dictionary of all the microprocessor vocabulary. The cover of the Handbook indicates the Allis-Chalmers Advanced Technology Center. And this book accompanied the presentation that Texas Instruments held for Allis-Chalmers engineers, which ... moreis how my father obtained it. Connect the TV device to an older TV, plugged in a cartridge and got the maze display that you see after selecting option 2. As these game machines are not my strength, I took it no further and so offer the computer as-is, no returns, please. Included are the computer. The TV interface device, joysticks, two copies of the User Reference manual, two copies of the Basic manual, a speech synthesizer plugin, the power supply, and nine game cartridges.
