VINTAGE Metro Welding Goggles in Cedar Box Steampunk EXTRA Lenses 1940's-1950's!
You're bidding on a pair of authentic. Antique welding goggles marked Metro on the metal vent caps. They come in an old cedar box marked Wizard on the hinge sides and an extra pair of clear lenses. Overall they are in nice condition with slight rust on the air vents. The original elastic headband has some wear but is still stretchy. One of the black lenses has a chip on the edge but it cannot be seen when in the goggles. There are also some tiny nicks in the lenses but they do not affect vision. The original gaskets between the lenses are in great shape. The extra clear lenses have multiple slag spots but are still useable. The heavy plastic frames are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. I estimate them to be from the 1940s-50s. Vintage Oxweld Welding Safety Goggles Glasses Green Motorcycle Steampunk Art
Stamped Oxweld on each of the eye piece vents. Vents are separating from frames. Original strap attached but stretched out. They have a great green Bakelite design. The lenses have residue use marks. And could use a good cleaning. The frames are without cracks. Breaks or repair. They have been used and would be perfect for Steampunk art! Super Cool! Very Nice Used Condition!
