Oil field worker hard hat helmet protective headgear
This is a hard hat/helmet. It appears to be made for oil field workers. All of the stickers on it appear to have something to work with working in oil and various oil companies. This item was found in storage. And thus none of the stickers are more current than 2008. This helmet is very dirty and I'll do my best to clean it as best I can for the winning bidder. It feels like it is made out of a carbon fiber like material. There is some kind of part on the forehead(right side of picture#2) that can be turned, but doesn't seem to do anything. The cap comes with original adjustable liner which has some sweatband tearing as you can see by the pics. I believe the helmet was painted at time of manufacturing. This is a vintage MSA hardhat. Made of a brown phenolic resin composite material, that has been painted white. Its size is not marked, but it is 8 1/2 inches wide by 11 inches overall length by 6 inches high. The inner cloth straps are in great shape, as are the TVA decals for various safety awards. There is a date of 1959 on the MSA label inside. What appears to be the name of the owner is still visible above the bill. I will leave the clean-up(if desired) to the new owner. Here we have a cool pair of vintage construction items. A vintage aluminum B.F. McDonald hard hat(no inner liner) I polished the aluminum to make it look like chrome. There is one tiny little dent from use. But this hard hat is old. Also included is a vintage aluminum lunch box. I have no idea who made it because there is no name on it. I polished the aluminum to make it look like chrome. The original handle was mussing. So I made a handle out of a piece of bicycle chain. I added a little pinstriping to the front with one shot lettering enamel, and I added an old rat fink pin to the front. There is no thermos, there are a few minor dents from use. The hinges and latches are all in working condition. These belong in the bed of a rat rod truck.

This is an OLD and USED vintage B. F. MCDONALD Co. Los Angeles Aluminum SAFETY HARD HAT with Leather LINER. The aged safety metal hat is inscribed with the initials"RMB" in a diamond including the states as follows: KANSAS. WYOMING, COLORADO, NEW MEXICO, NEBRASKA, N. DAKOTA, S. DAKOTA and TEXAS. The original floating leather liner is still intact. Plus there is black electrical cord attachment added for a secure fit by the original owner/user, which I have not messed with as it adds character to the piece. The vintage hard hat is used and old.
