MIller Electric Auto Darkening Welding Helmet, Black w/2 lenses
For sale is a used Miller Electric auto darkening welding helmet. This is an older model so I am not sure what it's equivalent today is. I had this helmet for several years and it works great. Everything is adjustable. The auto-darkening feature is awesome. I never replaced the battery for the auto-darkening since I have owned it. It always works great but you might consider replacing this. Also. The foam on the front is showing its age. It is not torn but a new one would be nice to have. Overall just minor flaws. I am also including two replacement lenses for the front. I just replaced the front and back so they will be new and clear when you receive it. Jackson Products, Warren, Michigan. While it looks unused to me. It does have a scuff mark near the bottom, about 1-1/4" from the right edge. No pits or cracks. I found this welder's helmet while cleaning out an old homestead. It still looks in good usable condition. Looks like it is made of fiberglass and very sturdy by Jackson- USA. There are a series of small holes around the perimeter used to attach(sewn) a cloth hood. I removed the hood as it's condition was debatable. Not sure if this model came with the hood or if the owner added it. At any rate you could certainly add one of your own. Helmet does exhibit some scuffs. Etc. due to age and use but is very clean. The head adjustment works fine and there are 2 clear and one smoky lens which seem to be relatively scratch free. Please view pictures as part of description and ask questions. This is an extremely RARE- OLD- VINTAGE 19? ALUMINUM HARD HAT- WELDING HELMET. It is as shown and is. What I believe to be, a vintage ALUMINUM WELDING HELMET or ALUMINUM HARD HAT. It has a 11 1/8" X 9 5/8" brim and the hat opening is 7 15/16" X 6 1/2" and it is 4 1/2" high overall. It has a felt liner that is marked: STRATTON- NEW YORK(probably added- not original? It has a bracket on it, that I assume was for a WELDING HELMET SHIELD assembly- but not sure! It is in original used condition with a lot of paint loss and wear; dings and dents; it is missing the shield assembly; and the felt liner is burned(that is why I think that it is a welding helmet) You buy it for a very low opening bid AS-IS as described!
