Vintage Sellstrom Safety Sunglasses, Excellent Condition
Up for sale is a pair of Sellstrom safety glasses that are more like sunglasses then PPE. The most common color I've seen for older safety glasses is green but this pair has a very light violet/purple tint to them that will darken to a blue color indoors with fluorescent light. The glass lenses are nearly perfect with only the smallest of marks on them. Considering the overall condition of the frames. I don't think these were used at all. They are extremely comfortable and feel light on your face, even when wearing them for hours at a time. The hinge to hinge measurement is 5" across and the arms are fully adjustable to just about any length.

This auction is for a pair of Sellstrom safeguard goggles. I believe they are welding goggles. As I got an up-opened case from an old welder. I took the dark lenses out for the images. They are style no. 420. lens Excelolite#5. The goggles are entirely bakelite. The lenses are green when you look through them. They are totally steampunk! The elastic straps are old, from probably the 40's or 50's, so they have lost some of their snap. The boxes are in excellent condition. Please look at the picture(s) for a visual description.
