Up for auction is this very fun vintage Mickey Mouse Club hat believed to be from the 50's. It's seen its better days yet for the new collector this is a good starter piece. It's made of felt with stapled on hard plastic ears(Can you believe that! There is something on the front of the one ear, appears to be a bit of plastic residue from when made but unsure so didn't attempt to get it off. This hat has apparently been crumpled for quite some time thus had to hold the ears out to get a good pic to see its true shape. If you steam it on a head shaped object that crumpling should no longer be a problem. Questions? Please ask. I am not sure if this is a Vogue doll or not so use your knowledge or tell me what to look for. Condition: Hair is in pretty good shape. Clothing needs cleaning and ironing, the black dress has a few holes/tears, the matching bloomers' elastic is shot and it was being held together at the waist with a safety pin. Socks are dirty, big and loose and I doubt are original to her. Shoes also need cleaning. Hat has missing pieces along the brim. Her body is pretty clean but there are some spots here and there. VINTAGE Hard Plastic DOLL wearing Georgeous VOGUE DOLLS Victorian DRESS & HAT
Vintage 15" tall Georgeous Young GIRL Doll. Doll is a young gir l with light skin. Strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes. Her cheeks are heavily blushed and she has lovely peach/ light pink painted lips. Eyes are sleeper eyes with eyelashes attached. The eyebrows are painted on the plastic. Lashes are complete with no break s. Doll is in a gorgeous floor length Victorian gown and matching hat. Gown and hat are a light green color with a white faux fur material at gown center front and at sleeves and brim of hat. The dress is accented with a black velour at vest. Dot buttons of velour on backside of her arms and matching velour bows on the center white fur area. In the vest area she has two pink and green embroidered"buttons" Embroidered buttons appear glued and one is just a tiny bit loose on one side. There is also a thin bead ... moreof the black velour down the edges of the center fur area that really brings out that area. The neckline on the gown is lace. The hat is the same green material(type unknown to me) with a green silky tie ribbon around her neck. Doll also has undergarments as shown in the pics(including underpants that did not get included in the pics) She is wearing thigh length pantyhose that are somewhat dryrotted from age. She is not wearing any shoes. There is a tear in the waist seam of the slip as shown in the pics. OTHERWISE- The dress. Hat and undies are all in great condition with no tears, stains or soiling that I could find. Doll is jointed at neck. Arms and legs. Joints are good and tight so she can be posed well. Note that one of her feet has a bit of a blob of plastic on the bottom so it prohibits her from standing on her own. I stood her for photos with the use of a doll stand(NOT included) Doll body is made of two piece hard plastic- head may be vinyl. c.1950 Vintage "MY VALENTINE" Doll, Red Hair, Gown, Hat, 12.5" Hard Plastic, TAG
Vintage 12.5" Doll"MY VALENTINE" Original paper hang tag Hard plastic. Red hair, marked"O" on the back. Original red gown with netting apron. Matching hat, decorated with flowers in bunches along bottom of gown. Doll holds a bouquet of flowers and vintage heart hang tag"My Valentine" Underneath gown she has a matching red slip in silky fabric, panties with lace trim, white plastic shoes marked 2T on bottom. Doll has red wig hair, blue sleep eyes, red lips, hard plastic body, including frozen straight legs. She measures 12.5" tall. Hat matches gown with same netting trim and flowers. Hat ties under neck. I do not know exact age and I do not know the maker. She is likely some sort of a store doll. Condition is as you see in the photos. The netting and lace trim was probably cream color when originally ... moremade and it has now faded to look more like tan. Red hair wig a bit messy and top back section a bit thin so you see plastic head. I pulled hair over to cover up most of the bare spot. With hat on you don't see it. Doll has some soil marks here and there. But no water stains and no large rips. The main thing is the cream netting, trim and flowers have the age wear and fade, discoloration. Not new and not perfect. Doll has some strings, fray on edges of clothes and hat here and there. Please be sure you are ok with condition"as is" being sold as was found. THIS IS A REALLY LOVELY LITTLE VOGUE GINNY DOLL. MY PICTURES DO NOT DO HER JUSTICE PARTICULARLY HER HAIR WHICH IS REALLY A BEAUTIFUL DEEP RED. SHINY SARAN WIG. UNFORTUNATELY ONE SIDE HAS THE TOP LAYER MISSING. IT WAS NOT CUT. KIND OF STRANGE HOW THAT MIGHT HAVE HAPPENED SINCE SHE DOES NOT LOOK ABUSED OTHERWISE. SHE IS HARD PLASTIC WALKER WITH VERY NICE COLORING THROUGH OUT. BLUE SLEEP EYES WHICH DO NOT OPEN AND CLOSE EASILIY. AN ERASER TIP DOES THE JOB IF YOU NEED THEM TO CLOSE OR THEY ARE CLOSED AND YOU NEED THEM OPEN. SHE HAS A VERY NICE TAGGED DRESS ON WITH MATCHING PANTIES. I HAVE GIVEN HER MATCHING SKATES WHICH BELONGED TO ANOTHER GINNY AND SHE HAS A STRAW HAT W/PALE PINK RIBBON(NO STRAP) BUT OTHERWISE VERY NICE. ON HER ARMS SHE HAS SOME CRACKLING LIKE LINES.
