This helmet is in great vintage condition and shows the scars of lots of use on the surface from continued exposure and scratches. There is a crack in the lower section of the mask as seen in the photos to the left along with some tape from previous cracks. This mask has a flip up visor. This helmet includes a clear protective lens that has lots of pitting and debris from use and a dark welding lens along with 2 spacers and a spring to hold the lenses in place. This piece still has the original headband which has a rotating knob to adjust the size. The size adjusts from about 6 3/4" across to about 8 3/4" across to fit any head size! Vtg Jackson Fiberglass Welding Mask Helmet Fibre Metal Steampunk Flip Up Lens Description: Up for sale is this estate rescued Jackson Products welding mask or helmet! This piece has been fitted with a Fibre-Metal 3-C Adjustable Headband so that it can be worn without a helmet. This helmet was very dirty when we recovered it. It has cleaned up well and appears to be in working order. The dark welding lens is mounted in a bakelite holder and flips up and stays up. The dark section consists of 3 lenses; 2 clear and one dark. One of the clear lenses has a gasket attached. All of the lenses have some scratches with some dark discoloration around the edges but they are still good visually. Inside the flip section is an additional clear lens to protect the wearer when the outer shield is flipped up. This lens has some minor scratching. But is not ... morecracked. The hold down spring has minor surface corrosion as seen in the photos. There are two thumb screws on either side to set the tension that allows the whole mask to be held up when raised. The fiberglass pattern is very pronounced on the outside of the mask giving it a very cool look! The outside of the flip up section is marked“Jackson” Inside the mask is marked“Jackson Products Inc USA” We don't see any cracks or breaks in the outside fiberglass or the bakelite lens holder. There are some red marks on the outside of the mask as shown in the photos. This may have been some artwork done by the original owner. This mask measures 13" tall x 8 1/4" across the side x 7 3/4" from back edge to the front of the lens holder. This is a very cool old helmet! Thank You! Up for bid is this vintage red children's doll trunk with a Herculean label. The trunk is made from hard fibre and has metal corners which have kept it sturdy all of these years. There are three metal closures and a handle that has edge issues but I believe the metal runs through this entire handle to keep it sturdy. I do not have the key with this lock. The inside is papered in vintage paper that is mostly intact. If you are a doll collector this would be a nice addition to your collection.
