Cast Acrylic Optically Clear Rod Lexan Plexiglass Aluminum Display Mancave Bar
I built this set-up as a part of my show car display. It was only used a few times and basically looks brand new. It was never on the floor. As shown in the photo while in use, I just did that to show how it goes together. The acrylic rods are 1 1/2 inches in diameter. The following measurements are approx. but very close. 10 of the rods are 46 1/2 inches long, 1 rod is 46 3/4 inches long, 2 rods are 47 inches long and 6 rods are 47 5/8 inches long. This is just over 74 feet of total rod length. All of the rods are very clear and scratch free. I had the end caps and connectors all custom machined from billet aluminum and then polished to a mirror finish. Each connector and end cap have two threaded holes in the bottom for mounting them to whatever you like. The threaded holes are 1/4 20. There are 12 end caps(photos 7 and 8) and 12 connectors( ... morephoto 9) I have held LED lights up to the ends of the rods and they carry light very well and look really nice if a person wanted to incorporate lighting to this set-up. You could use this set-up for many, many things. Hand rails, a rail around a bar, displays etc. Over $1000 invested
