After"ok" ing the startup error, pressing the front panel buttons changes the scope settings like normal. The VAR knob POT rear cover is loose so this POT needs to be replaced. Other POTs look ok. I finally decided to retire from all electronic projects I was doing and will let my complete electronic lab go. This set is a complete Electronic/Digital lab consisting of a great Tektronix TLA721 Mainframe. 4 x TLA7aa4, Oscilloscope and Patter generator modules. It runs on a windows XP operating system and all the latest firmwares are updated. Some modules needs calibration but since it has been sitting on my desk for couple of years with minimum use I think the readings should be pretty accurate.
