This is For two vintage Paw Paw Bait Co. wood lures. There is a River Type about 2 1/2" Red and white. Marked Paw Paw. It is in great condition. Next is a green mouse about 2 1/2" in really good condition with a missing tail. Both have some very minor corrosion. Should clean up very nice. Would make a wonderful addition to any collection! My family ran a working newspaper in Canova South Dakota for over 100 years. The Canova Harold) These letters were used in the type set of the newspaper. Japanese Type 44 Arisaka Carbine Wood Handguard - Poss. Chinese - Excellent!
Up for auction is a fairly unusual wooden handguard for the Japanese Type 44 Arisaka carbine. In excellent overall condition. It has a reddish orange finish similar to the Urushi lacquer found on Japanese rifles of the day. But, comparing it to another Type 44 rifle I have the cut is a bit different. For example it is the exact same length, but the cut area of the rear barrel band is a bit different. Plus there are no rear stud holes where the metal retainer is riveted near the rear sight. But it works. It fit on my Type 44 and the type 44 it came off of. There are no cracks or chips or gouges. My guess is that it is a Chinese rework where they took a Type 44 that maybe had a damaged stock and converted a new stock out of maybe a type 38 long rifle or a type 38 carbine(see rifle stock auction) No international sales please. Antique Freed Eisemann type model 345 tube radio speaker, good wood case 1920s
This is an antique Freed Eisemann Type/model 345 Radio Speaker. Serial#357422, in as found condition. The case is solid and in good shape for the age with no cracks or splits. The rear case door securely fastens and when removed exposes the speaker which has the speaker numbers displayed. The cover is worn. The speaker cords appear to be original. The unit is untested. Mounted display for small collectibles like seashell, rocks, netsukes, cork board filled with wine corks, thread bobbin holder, etc. etc. Nice aged patina. The lower case letter"s" 6 line, block is approximately 1" tall and 9/16" wide. Manufacturer: Page& Co. Greeneville CT. The maker's mark on this set of type was used between 1857 and 1859. This type is truly antique. Type is all wood. We have washed with mild soap and water to remove the worst of the dust/soil. Our lighting may distort the color of the wood. There is dried ink etc. on some letters. Some are damaged. Refinishing is up to you If you have questions. Please ask. If you are buying more than one item. Please do not pay for them individually.
