This is a set of steel-rule dies shaped to cut the Greek alphabet. It was intended to cut cloth for the production of fraternity and sorority garments(shirts. Sweaters, jackets, etc. but it can just as effectively cut paper. These dies were made by a company called ADC. Or Athletic Die Cutters. Since it produced these dies the company changed its name to Advanced Cutting Systems, or ACS, and moved to Live Oak, Florida. You can see its products by clicking This die set came with an ADC rotary cutter(not included in the auction) We have no use for these dies so here they are. They should work in most roller die cutting machines like AccuCut GrandeMARK MARK III. IV, and Super Jumbo as well as Ellison SureCut ClearCrop AllStar Sizzix. The thermostat is adjustable and works good. Temperature gauge and timer also works good. Indicator lights work. All of the mechanical parts move freely and function good. The press pad and heat pad look clean overall. The body of the unit does have some minor dirt. Scratches and spots, to be expected for this type item. There are no broken or cracked parts that I can see. There are a few very minor spots of rust where the paint has chipped. The"caution hot" label is peeling from plate.
