You are bidding on one Argon Pneumatic Screen Printing Stretcher. This will stretch Fabric or Stainless Mesh and it is Industrial Grade unit. There are 12 free floating stretching cylinders. It is shown with a 27 inch square Aluminum frame. All you need is a flat table. An adequate air supply, and a few pipe fittings. The air supply pressure depends on the amount of tension that you want on the screen. We used this system for Stainless steel mesh pad printing and normally stretched the screens to 50 newtons-as I recall. We also used it for Polyester as shown in the picture. The really nice thing about this stretcher is that the cylinders are placed against the aluminum frame so that as the screen is stretched the frame is also tensioned; therefore. When the pressure is released the screen will not distort the frame and lose tension. Three 1950s Vintage SCREENINGS Booklets SCREEN PROCESS PRINTING ASSOC
Here is a rare find.three publications from the early 1950s dealing with the Silk Screening Process called SCREENINGS. The first booklet from December 1952 contains 12 pages with the cover by FRANZ WEISS who was. At that time, the treasurer of one of the nation's foremost screen process technicians. The next one from February. 1954 had a cover printed by Milton Grant. Vice president and Membership Chairman of the SPPA International. The cover was devoted to the therapeutic value of silk screen printing. This booklet also has 12 pages. Finally. The third one from September. 1954 had a cover devoted to Lafitte, the most colorful character in New Orlean's romantic history in the early 1800s. American screen printing company dryer needs work.
I don't know much about this dryer. I bought it at an auction I know it was used in production however I have never hooked it up so I don't know what it needs work. I do have the belt for it. This is a local pickup only the machine is very heavy and you will need a large trailer and some help there is no way it will fit in a pickup truck. If you know how to work on these machines and can fix it this would be a good buy. The machine must be paid for and picked up within five working days after end of the auction! I'm selling my AWT Big Gripper table clamp with micro registration. It is about 54 inches wide so it can hold larger screens as well as the small ones. This is the largest Big Gripper clamp that AWT manufactures. I usually used screens that went a ways past the outer edge of each side because I typically print large scale. The three clamps can slide back and forth to different positions by just loosening the socket set screws around the metal rod. Depending on screen size. So multiple exposed images exist per unit. As the printing area was so small, there may also be tape or traces of tape used to mark off borders of images and block leaks in the printing area. 3 of the 5 are just frames alone; the mesh was damaged beyond use and removed(pulled off the glued frame) However. 1 has used, intact mesh(glued) that should be able to be reclaimed, while one has a tear in the mesh on one of the long sides(I've been able to tape similar tears temporarily for emergency or limited use) These two with mesh are just a small bonus, but these are all really being sold as frames to be re-glued with mesh.
