Antique Sigwalt Letterpress / Printing Press - Marked 10-I *Very Good Condition
Antique Sigwalt Letterpress/ Printing Press- Marked 10-I*Very Good Condition: Up for auction is a fantastic. Heavy cast iron Letterpress which I have discovered recently while out on one of my'picking adventures' Before I begin with the description, picture number 12 shows(2) antique letterpress models which I discovered this past week. Please note that this auction is for the larger press(red handle/ lever) only however the smaller model will also be listed for auction this week so please check out my other listings if you are interested. This press is quite heavy given its smaller size. Weighing right at 13 pounds, and it is in very good condition. When I discovered this press it was quite dusty so I've taken the time to clean up the item but I have not added, removed or replaced any of the parts. The press appears to be complete ... moreand it is fully functional. When I raise the lever, the single roller rolls off of the ink plate and over the chase very smoothly as the ink table is rotated simultaneously by the operating dog. When I lower the lever, the roller rolls back over the the chase and back then back on top of the ink plate with ease. The chase is removable and it fits very snug in the bed. The outside dimensions of the chase are 4" x 2 1/2" and the wooden block which was found with this item measures(slightly under) 3 1/2" x 2" The cast iron body and attached parts are in excellent condition. The cast iron shows no signs of any rust. Deterioration or other damage to it and the paint on this press is in very good condition as well(a couple of small chips but no flaking, peeling or cracking) There are a couple of screws that have light surface rust but this rust is light and it would easily clean away and the single roller has dried out over time and this will need to be replaced. The press is marked 10-I followed by a small hallmark(picture#9) and though I am certainly not an expert in these antique letterpress units, after the research that I have done I believe this to be ma

Caps International 6 head 4 station screen printing press with micro regist.
6 head 4 station manual screen printing press. Very heavy duty, very good condition. It does have a few paint blemishes, a bent bolt or two from transport, and a couple hand knobs missing from two of the adult platens, one of leveling legs has a broken hand knob, none of which affects functionality whatsoever. Includes 4 child platens, 4 adult platens, and a sleeve platen. This press is not a cheaply built press. It has micro registration and a centering assist to help stop the press rotation as you're moving from station to station so you can land under heat flash between colors. Everything works excellent. You won't find many this well built. I have a press that is 3 years newer and it is half the press, even though I paid same money for both.

Description Large lot of vintage typeset letters. They are very small- most measure 5 mm across. Many different fonts. Punctiation, and symbols. We found these inside the drawers of an old printers table bought from a local estate. I tried to keep the fonts separate. But they were already a mess in the drawers. They are separated into 2 bags- one a type of gothic font and the other a combo of more plain fonts. There are a couple pounds of letters but will be shipped in a small flat rate priority box. Except that the number of pages has been reduced by a dozen(from 72 to 60 interior pages) It features the second installment of"The Freak Brother in Idiots Abroad, the conclusion of"Wonder Wart-Hog in the Battle of the Titans, and a section on European cartoonists(this one is focused on Denmark) The magazine begins with a section of short articles. Including one about censorship by Sally Harms that promises to be a series of articles in subsequent issues, but additional installments will not be found in the future. This is a problem with any serialized publication that unexpectedly ceases production, as Rip Off does after this issue(for the next four years. Anyway) The expectation of a 13th issue is mentioned ... moreseveral times in the 12th, so you know Rip Off Press was sincere about continuing the magazine.but it just didn't happen. At least we do get the fifth and final chapter of Wonder Wart-Hog's epic"The Battle of the Titans. Wonder Wart-Hog. Paranoid Punkpig, Piltdown Pig and Pig-of-the-Future face off against crime kingpin Louie in a fight to the death. It appears to last about 30 seconds(and less than two pages) before Louie is dead. Never fuck with Wonder Wart-Hog! After vanquishing the criminal mastermind. Our gang of four pigs goes about cleaning up the entire city of suspected criminals and banishing all of them to the future through a portable time machine. This leads to a satisfying conclusion with three warthogs and a city who understand what kind of people really belong in prison. The second installment of"The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers in'The Idiots Abroad' appears here before it is reprinted in the eighth issue of the Freak Brothers own comic book.
