The printing part uses a thermal transfer ribbon to print with. I had a new print head put in the about 5 years ago. The printing works but it need some adjustment or maybe replaced. I mainly use it to cut Vinyl with for signs. There is a lot of the Thermal Transfer Ribbions that will come with the printer. In fact it looks like it just came out of the box. I have used this to fabricate vinyl for my sign company and have maintained it regular. Runs and operates perfectly. Vinyl stays on track and have run a 50 yard roll with no problems. This machine will take a 48" roll of media and cut with precise accuracy. I am including the OEM vinyl front and rear basket which keeps all dirt and debris free of the vinyl which can contaminate the blade and internal components.
