Vintage 1960s STEIFF DIGGY BADGER Mohair 6" (17cm) Mascot ID Name Tag Only
6" Steiff Mohair Badger- Diggy Hey. Wisconsin fans! Now you can have your very own pocket-size mascot- meet Diggy the badger. Diggy is one of several badgers made by Steiff between 1959 and 1988. Resting on all fours. This little guy was made in Germany in 1963 and measures 6 inches(17 cm) long from black stitched nose to short, flexible tail. His luxuriant mohair pelt is beige, brown and black, with distinctive bands that mask brown glass eyes. Diggy has a firmly stuffed body, tiny ears and black felt hind foot pads. Diggy proudly wears a bright chest tag with his name in blue above Steiff's logo. A yellow bear head. The red circle reads"Steiff Original Marke. Someone has penciled numbers on the back of the 3/4 inch tag, where a price sticker once may have been attached. The Steiff button and stock tag are missing. The back has a type of double safety pin closure; maybe the bottom one would hold medals or ribbons. The name tag measures 2 ¼” tall by 7/8” wide. The front of the tag is in excellent condition. Army Officer Samurai Sword Old Signed Blade GI Name Tag Good Condition. NOT CHINA JUNK This is a real WW2 sword not one of the many reproductions you see from China. As All the swords from there are, don’t be fooled. I guarantee this is a WW2 era sword or earlier. This one is a Army Officers with a Old blade. It is well worn but has nice markings. It has a original handle with nicely detailed parts. All original but worn. The wrapping is worn and fraying, it is original on the bottom and the top half looks like old GI shoelace put on by the GI. It also has the name tag of the GI who brought it back from the war. The scabbard is the late war type with cheap type fittings and leather battle cover, well worn. They used old blades late in the war and wood scabbards to conserve metal. Original Army type tsuba or guard and sepa’s or spacer’s. The ... moreblade is nicely signed, it has some spots and some light pitting on the edge but not too deep or bad, could possibly be fixed, scratching and wear but all in all not bad. It is in old polish and has a mirror finish on a small part where you can see some temper line but most is not. There are no other signs of sharpening or bad nicks on the edge. It is a worn blade but a good example of a older handmade blade in WW2 Army mountings. All in all it is a nice example of a Officers Army WW2 sword. A must for the edged weapon. Bayonet, knife, sword, saber, dagger, stiletto, machete, infantry, army, airborne, cavalry, Japanese sword, Kyu-Gunto, Katana, Shin-Gunto, Wakizashi, Tanto, Koto, Shin-Shinto, Kai-Gunto, collector.
