This lamp has 8 panels of bent caramel glass with two bulbs controlled by pull cords. The shade has the swirling leaf design found in most Art Nouveau desings. Looks great when high lighted against the caramel glass in a dim room. I have taken a number of pics in dim light to show this off. The base is solid and heavy to support the large shade. Although unmarked it is probably a Pittsburgh lamp. I have had all new wiring installed so this lamp is go to be used right out of the box but as always use caution and inspect after shipment before use. I think the bird is Zeus who changes into birds to visit women the woman could be his wife Hera I have dismantled the lamp to remove the lethal 2 core wiring. You will have to get this lamp rewired by a professional for your own safety. It stands on a hexagonal glass base the shell has the original brass and Bakelite fittings. Vintage Drafting Table Desk Light Lamp/ Industrial or business (Dazor ?) WORKS!!
This is a vintage drafting/ desk light lamp from the 1950's or 1960's and it work. It uses 2 18" fluorescent lamps; 15 volt each. It is completely adjustable and is extremely well built. It may be a Dazor. But I am not positive. The 2 lamps are brand new as I have just installed them. There is the general wear from the many years of use, but overall it is in very good shape. Here's a used but nice smaller sized bamboo table lamp. Its a great peice for Hawaiian/ Tiki style decor. It has a black metal base and a cylinder shaped white inner shade. Its inner socket says it for a 40wtt. bulb- nice for a bar or accent lighting. Theres a off/ on switch on cord. It works fine. Its cord shows a little age and use and the bottom edge of inner shade has what looks like a glue residue around it as if it were affixed inside at one time but its really not noticed one placed inside its bamboo frame. WW2 "IOWA CLASS" Battleship Table Lamp-Night Light with USN Insignia
up for auction is a very neat table lamp-night light display of a WW2 Iowa class Battleship made out of a cut piece of aluminum. The vintage metal art piece measures 14 1/4" long by 3 1/8" high by 1/4" thick and is bolted through the stand into metal being strongly supported.Solid hardwood monkey pod base is 4 5/8" across and 1 5/8" thick. Has an assortment of US Naval buttons affixed on top of eagles and anchors. There is a small blue light bulb in socket with cord. Plug and switch which all works perfectly. This cool retro lamp probably has a name. But it's unmarked and I'm not sure what they call these. The lamp slides up and down a little and can turn from side to side when a nut is loosened at the bottom. It's made of light plastic and measures about 9" tall. It works. It appears to be in fine preowned and used condition. It shows some scuffs, scratches, and stress marks but no chips, cracks, or damage. There are a five places that look like cracks but they are factory artifacts from the molding process. Not an actual spot light, it just looks like one a little. This unique piece started it's life in 1944 as a dangerous Ultra Voilet Healing Lamp. Turns out. All it does is increase your chance of getting skin cancer. Made by Sun Kraft in Chicago. This piece has been converted to a regular lamp so you can safely light your desk or work area without fear of those dangerous UV rays. All the original wiring has been reused as it is in very good condition and safe to operate. The original switch has also been retained. The switch has a 6 minute timer. As well as a hold setting to the far right. The timer is sticking. Though it's possible it will loosen up with some use.
