1950s Genuine Vintage Ceramic Lamp Base grey pink green yellow Light Table Lamp
1950s Genuine Vintage Ceramic Table Lamp This lovely old lamp base has a grey background and piped on detail in pastel pink. Yellow and green. It was rescued from my grandparents' house some years ago. I loved its quirky 50s-ness, but have never found the right place for it at home, and consequently have never rewired it to use. It is approx 8" tall not including the bulb holder. And is in very good condition, except for one small chip near the top rim(see photos) and a couple of tiny marks. The latter may be removable with some careful cleaning. Diameter at the widest part of the base is approx 5" The lamp base has its original wiring on it and MUST be rewired prior to use. This will be easy to do as the bulb holder looks as if it unscrews and the cable just gets run down through the hollow base and out the side via a pre-formed ... morehole. I have tried to show this in the photos. I don't usually list electrical items internationally. However. It should be possible to adapt this lamp base for use in any country because of the simple way it is set up and wired- I'm no expert on these things(so if you are bidding from abroad please make your own enquiries before bidding) but I would have thought it would be an easy job to install flex and a bulb holder for non-UK electricity supplies. I have all the photos in the montages singly- if you would like to see them please message me and I will blip them over to you. Will be sent carefully wrapped in a sturdy box! Within the UK. Up for auction is an incredible opportunity to own one of the rarest plaster lamp sets there is! Up for auction is the Female version of the Robin Hood or Hunter chalkware lamps made by Continental Art Co. in the 1950's. I believe this example has the original fiber shade and finial. Incredible over the top design that is super retro now! As collectible lamp sets. The Continental lamps prove to be super collectible! Great Art Deco design! Very minor paint issues. One scrape of the paint on her knee and some minor scratches on her back arm. These could be easily touched up. Original socket and cord both in great shape. The fiber shade is in very good condition but the cording is broken in a couple of places. There are very few issues for such a rare lamp. Nice color with glossy brown skin and speckled cream clothing and details. Large ... moremushrooms are at her feet. This auction is for this lamp only but I can purchase the male mate to this lamp if you are interested. There is no fiber shade or finial but he is in excellent condition like this one. This is an old antique 1920s to 1930s era pair of glass etched lamps with porcelain china roses. Each lamp is 3 1/2" across base and 17" tall with light bulb inside. They have cream color older shades that are very plain and are 10" by 8" Each lamp has a pink and white china rose. Each lamp is missing a china rose and one lamp has a 1/8" chip on a facet that I did not notice till now. See closeup. They have beautiful roses and a classic leaf style design on the base. Do not ask me why the sockets are different color. The shades will hide that anyway. This is a lovely lamp set and looks great on display. They cam from a fabulous estate that was all done in French. It is white with yellow trim and yellow roses/ flowers on the top shade and base which all sit on a antiqued brass finished base and the shade sits on a polished brass. Very ornate ring. It is in very nice condition with no chips or cracks just some normal signs of wear, but look close at all pictures and you will see that there is very little wear on the brass parts just very pretty. It also has a brass plated turn key which is three way so you can use the bottom only, top only or both. Also has a clear glass hurricane shade that fits inside the shade. It is about 19 1/2" tall, and the shade is about 7" across the opening with the base about 5" square, and very ornate. vtg Mid Century Modern Teak Swag or Table light Atomic Spike Shade pull chain
This is a very sought after mid century swag or table lamp. It has a pull chain inside to turn it on and off. The light is darn near perfect! As you can see the shade is great. I took a picture with the light on and off. Someone has spray painted the chain gold but it actually looks good that way. You can swag or take it off the swag and use as a table lamp. Everything is perfect except one point is broken about 1/2" down. I tried to take the picture of it but it is hard to do as it actually was broken in the same direction as the points. I didn't even notice it for the longest time. If you have a hard time finding it then you know it is not that noticable especially if you are going to hang it- you will never see. The shade is the part that seems to stand out the most and it is great.
