Our best guess is the famous 10"x15" Kluge judging by the journals but they could fit others as well. Measure your presses! These journals are 9/16" diameter with the spring loaded ball towards the end and two sets of stakes to fit the truck. From our research on the net. They appear to be the old style Kluge journal. They are 21-3/4" overall with a 16-1/2" roller face and 1-1/2' diameter. This is an orphan set of rollers from out of the warehouse. I'm sure the press is around here somewhere! Antique Cast Iron Baltimore No.10 Tabletop PRINTING PRESS Letterpress
Here is an antique Baltimorean number 10 table top platen letterpress printing press. It's made of cast iron- very heavy at 15 lbs- and seems to be in very good condition. I don't know anything about printing presses. But it looks as if all the parts are there and in working order. The rubber roller is not dried out, but has a small dent in it& a replacement metal end. No rust other than on the underside of the base. Most of the gold painted trim is still good, the only worn off paint is on the handle. There is type inserted in it; various letters spelling out the words'name, address, phone' etc. apparently for printing out service cards. Biggest Antique hand roller I ever saw. If you have some big inking to do this is the roller you want. The rubber roller itself measures 10" wide. Unfortunately it does have a few indentations but I am sure the roller could be replaced if necessary. In all it measures 13" wide by 10 1/2" from the end of the handle to the rubber roller. Turn of the Century Letterpress A wonderful turn of the century letterpress marked"Baltimore No. 9" with most of its original black paint and gold trim detail. This letterpress is hand operated with a lever and the plate measures 3 5/8" x about 2 5/8" Overall in very good aged condition with a good deal of dust as well as some rust in places it is in need of a proper cleaning if it is to be used. The spring loaded holders for the roller are functional and when the lever is depressed for printing the roller will move up to be re-inked. A fantastic collectible either for use or display. Its largest dimensions are nearly 8" tall. 14" long, 6" wide, and weighs over 6 pounds. It also has a screw hole on either side of the lever as it is meant to be mounted on a desk. Parts/Fix Kelsey & Co Excelsior 3 x 5" Letterpress Tabletop Printing Press 1893
I sold this quite awhile ago for $300. However unfortunately the plate was cracked in two during shipping and another arm beneath the plate has broken. I'm sure there's people out there who can salvage the parts or perhaps even repair this to working condition. There is some light rust which can clearly be seen in the orange hue. Originally this was black with gold detailing. Much of this black patina and gold detail remains but it is far from complete. This weighs near 30 pounds(shipping will be based upon buyer location since it is so heavy) There is an April 6. 1893 patent date as well as patent numbers for England, France and Germany. I am not real familiar with these letter presses. So I won't be able to answer technical questions. This would need a fair amount of TLC to bring it back to life, but there are inevitably some ... moregood parts on here that can be used to go that route. Vintage Craftsmen Monarch 9 x 12 Tabletop Letterpress Printing Press C&P Pilot
One of the largest Tabletop Printing Presses! Craftsmen Monarch 9" x 12" Letterpress Printing Press After Chandler& Price went out of business. Craftsmen Machine Co. of Massachusetts made these copies of the Chandler& Price Pilot. Many of the parts are exact or close copies of the Pilot press and are interchangeable with the Pilot. These later Craftsmen Presses. Like this one, was made of high strength cast aluminum. This monster table top press only weighs 125 lbs(less than half of what is would weigh if in cast iron! This press is fully operational. And includes brand new rubber Rotadyne Rollers and new Craftsmen trucks that I purchased from Craftsmen Machinery Co. which is still in business in Mass. This press includes a Chandler& Price(8 1/2 x 12) chase which fits this machine perfectly without alteration and are ... morereadily available. The funny and sad story about the chase. I purchased this from a home print shop and the owner had never used the press in the almost 30 years he owned it. The press actually shows little use. Over the years he lost the chase. Which I found is almost impossible to locate. Craftsmen sold me their last used one for $180 and the post office left it in front of my shop where it was stolen. As a last resort I tried every chase that I had sitting in the shop and low and behold, the most common chase available fit perfect. The chase is a bit beefier than the Craftsmen chase so it only has a 8.5x12 inner size rather than the 9x12 that the original had, but given that the C&P chase can be found any day for about $40, it makes the press even more versatile. I will be happy to sell the high bidder as many chases as they need for $40 each. You can pick the press up at my shop Antyke. In Scituate, Rhode Island for no charge. 7" x 11.5" nipping press. Has a slight split in the wooden base. As shown in the last picture, but this only appears to be on the surface and doesn't effect its operation. An adjustment hole in one of the metal arms has been damaged and will no longer hold the pin, this isn't a big deal as the wider adjustment can be used with extra packing. Antique Victorian Printing Press, Tabletop letterpress, calling cards, Business
This listing is for a beautiful Victorian era calling card or business card letterpress or table top printing press. This item is being sold exactly as found out of storage in an old barn here in the Mid-coast Maine area. I am not familiar with these particular items. So I took this press to a local master printer who informed me that these little presses were used in the late 1800's to early 1900's and were often used privately to print calling cards or by small businesses to print either business cards or information on postcards and photos. This press still has some of the lettering in it which can just be made out to have something to do with photography. This piece has fully working mechanisms. It could use a bit of tightening and adjusting. There is an area of missing paint on the upper printing panel. Also the rubberized roller ... morehas grown dry and brittle with age. Both are an easy restoration. And not really inhibiting this piece from being used as is. It appears to be made from a thinner than expected metal, with maybe parts being tin. It is not a heavy cast iron press. It is being sold"barn fresh" as is, due to its significant age, and the fact that I have made no attempts to alter or restore it in any way. This is an excellent example of the Baltimore#11 letterpress manufactured by Baumgarten& Company. Unknown age. But approximately 100-125 years old. The Baltimore letterpress has been out of production for over a century and therefore continues to increase in value. Information on these types of presses. As well as various supplies and instructions can be readily found on the Internet. This 2-roller self inking table top letterpress is in very good condition(for the age) It was recently disassembled and cleaned. It still has the original paint and even some ink left from printing days gone by. This was not a restoration. Just a partial cleaning. The press is missing the rollers. But new rollers can be purchased right here on EBay. All other parts are intact. Includes: Press mounted on wooden platform(wood has a crack in it) Two original ... morefonts(Copperplate Gothic#24 and#26) hand ink roller, 4 original roller trucks, misc. wood and metal furniture, extra type pieces, 4 tubes of ink(condition unknown) composing stick(lots of rust) and original manual(well abused) The press measures 12' long x 11' high x 7' wide and weighs about 12 pounds. With all accessories included. It weighs 19 pounds. The Platen measures approximately 4.75' x 3.00' The inside Chase measures approximately 4.00" x 2.50' Cast in platen back. BALTIMORE. Baumgarten& Co. produced a line of presses exactly parallel to Dorman’s. But used the name Baltimore instead of Baltimorean, and made minor changes in the castings. This#11 press is the same as the Baltimore#10 press except it has provision for 2 rollers and originally came with 2 fonts and some other extras in the kit. Please ask any questions before bidding.

We were not able to find any manufacturers marks or any other identifying marks on the cast iron. It does have some remnants of the original painted decorations on both sides. This printing press has not been cleaned– I wiped it down gently with a soft cloth– it would benefit greatly from some detailed attention. This old piece measures 9 ¾” long with the handle in the“down” position. Stands about 4 ¼” tall at the front, and is 7 ¾” ... moretall at the top of the handle when it is in the“up” position. When the handle of the press is down and the two plates move towards each other, the space between the two is just under ½” wide. The flat top area for the ink measures 3 ¼” x 2 ½” The two flat plates that come together for the printing measure 3 ½” x 2 3/8” each. There is a screw in the front plate that turns freely. The flat bottom mounting plate has 2 pre-drilled holes. Everything moves freely and there are not broken parts. The press has no breaks. Cracks, chips, or real rust– the old original black paint is worn and chipped off and as a result there is some light rust coloring left behind that will clean off pretty well. The press operates smoothly but since the rollers(pictured) are badly decomposed I have not been able to pull any proofs. The roller cores. However, can be recovered. Offered in this auction is a Kelsey& co 6x10 model E Excelsior table top letterpress printing press. In great condition. No dents or cracks. Free from rust. many, many extras. 23 full trays of letters, sorted, not mixed. Rubber rollers are used with dried ink on them. Pivot points are free moving. Very hard to find these in this condition and with all the bells and whistles. The original cabinet cannot fit all the letter trays! All sorts of pieces, and extras in very old cigar boxes is how they were stored. It was stored in gentlemans attic for years. All sorts of printing manuals also included. The press weighs 85 lbs. Sigwalt Chicago#11 letterpress. This is a wonderful Sigwalt Chicago tabletop letterpress. Believe this is the#11 press as it does hold two rollers. The press is black with gold accent paint and retains most of the decal decoration on one side. But only a portion on the other side. This press measures approximately 17' long with handle down, 14' with handle up, 6-1/2' wide and weighs about 12.4 lbs. It is in very good working condition with smooth action but does not come with a chase, type or rollers. The paint is in good condition with some paint loss and normal wear. You are looking at an Impossibly Hard to Find 19th century. Very Small Size Washington Hand Printer's Proof Press. This press was manufactured by the Paul Shniedewend& Co. Chicago, IL. This press is a true museum piece. A real antique. This press was used to print proofs of Bewick blocks for the Newberry Library. Chicago. This Washington press is the only one for sale on eBay! 120+ YRS. OLD. VERY HARD TO FIND SMALL PRESS, 66" TALL The press is only 66" tall. It has a 17" x 22" image area. There is no Tympan or Frisket with this press. If this is a problem for you call me before bidding. I have made them before with good results. All the parts on the press are original as they came from the factory. Except for the 1 leg with the square foot, that I fabricated. As I assembled this press I found that all the parts ... morefit nice and snug. This press have seen light usage and has not been abused throughout the years. This press has a wooden rounce and leather straps to move the bed in and out. Not gears as in the newer model. I would estimate it was manufactured in the 19th century. Probably in the early 1890's. I have checked the bed and platen for flatness with a precision straight edge using.003 brass shims. They show a slight low spot in the central region about 8" in diameter of between.0005& 001. This is a gradual taper and very well could have come from the factory, like this 120 years ago. These both were not ground with a Blanchard type of grinder. This press in much older, with a low 3 digit serial number. This slight low area should not present any problems on your average job. There are no smashes per say. It will be hard to find a better example of this machine. The factory scribed two lines that find the dead center of the bed. For layout purposes. There are also some other small scratches that were accidentally left in the bed, but are similar to the layout marks and will present no problem in printing. I dismantled the machine. These letter press type trays are from my great grandfathers print shop that closed about 30 years ago.These trays are very old.Id guess they were made in the 1930's or 1940's maybe older.These are the only 2 like this I have seen and the only 2 on ebay that I could find.
