1890 Golding Pearl No. 3 Letterpress Printing Press
1890 Golding Pearl No. 3(7x11) Serial no. 2379 for sale. Fully restored, with new cabinet drawers and Ramco rollers that have only been used only once for a test print. It comes with one chase, size 7inches x 11inches. The press is in good working order and makes a nice print. These are great machines that are a pleasure to run. All that is needed is some ink, paper, and type and this is ready to print. There was one small repair made by a machinist on the treadle(foot pedal) as seen in the pictures above. There are also three welds. One in the treadle, one in the gear arm, and one in the piece that holds the ink disk. These weld are all minor welds and do not effect the printing. You hardly ever see these. The press and outfit was part of New England estate and was lightly used. The press looks to be in very good condition, maybe used once then put away. The rollers and roller trucks are included, although I cannot guarantee their condition as they have stored for some time. For sale is a Perfection Printing Press No. 605(chase size 1- 5/8" x 2- 3/4" manufactured by the Wilkins Toy Company(probably around the 1920's) in Keene. NH. This press is missing the ink disc- which I imagine can easily be fabricated for a toy this small, and the roller. But as it currently exists, it's a really nice piece of print history and would make a great display piece for any shop. Currently I have it attached to a piece of cherry, which is not original. It also has a partial lock-up with 1/2 sized type. Please take a good look at all the photos. It's a really sweet toy. The line gauge and quarter are not included. VERY RARE 6x9 Tabletop Letterpress Printing Press by J.F.W. Dorman! CL19 Description CL19 Here for your consideration we have a very rare 6 x 9 tabletop letterpress with cast-iron stand. The press was made by J. F. W. Dorman of Baltimore MD. The name on the press is"monumental lever#1" The inside measurements of the chase are 6 x 8 7/8. They call that a 6 x 9 chase. This is a double roller production press. This press was built to work! The cast-iron arms have built in Greece valves. The highest point of the press on the stand is 46 inches. Just the press is 24 inches high including the handle. The press is 25 inches wide including the handle and 21 inches deep with the platen open. The feet on the base are 16 x 20. And the base plate that the press is sitting on is 15 x 15" This press is very heavy and is for pickup only. ... moreI will be in Brooklyn New York this weekend of February 14 and 15th. The letters have ink residue on them and I do not know if the original ink is still usable.
