And it works a LOT better than the vertical. I even have ... moresome tricks to let me get closer to the gripper with a numbering machine, perf, and score, so I am disassembling the V-50 and selling it part by part. Let me know if you have any specific part you want me to list, and I'll endeavor to list it ASAP. These are Brass Balancing Shims to balance the cylinder. Usually. You will never need these, but if you have a bad jam, the cylinder impression may become uneven. You can fix this fairly easily by loosening the two large mounting bolts on the side you wish to adjust and sliding the shims down and re-tightening the bolts. That is why the shims are in a"C" shape: they slide down each side of the mounting bolt. There are 5 thick(about 1 point) and 7 thin(about 1/2 point, comparable to 12# paper) ones. They are used, stained, and some are a little bent, but all are usable and in good condition. I am pricing them a little high so one person will think twice about just buying them all up, leaving them available for more people. TELL ME WHICH SHIMS YOU WANT. If you do not specify. I will send you matched pairs of thick and thin until I run out. Remember, I have 5 thick and 7 thin ones. If you are correcting impression from a bad jam. You will probably only need one thick and two thin shims at the maximum, and possibly just one or two thin ones. If you have had a catastrophic jam on one side of the press, you may need 2- 4 thick AND 2- 4 thin ones to readjust it. To check your impression, the easiest way is to remove packing from under your best die cutting jacket so the sheet is barely, or not at all, perforating using brand new perforating rule. Compare the cuts or impression on each side, and if one side has lower impression than the other one, or one side cuts and the other one doesn't quite cut, you need to balance the impression. You can use the shims in pairs, one for each side mounting bolt, or, for m

Vintage Letterpress Printing Press Furniture Cabinet, w/ lots of Furniture.
At auction is one very old wood Printing Press Furniture Cabinet with a large amount of furniture. The cabinet measures 31" high. 16" wide and is 13" deep at the bottom. It has 56 compartments, with only three empty. There are over 310 pieces of furniture, many marked, with multiples of several sizes. The cabinet has no markings to identify the manufacturer. We believe it is from the early 1900's based on the shop's history. It is well used and in need of a good cleaning. Still very sturdy. You can see from the pictures, its overall condition. At one time it must of had a door or cover, as there are hinge cut outs on the right and a hasp clip on the left(still there) Purchase as is. Antique Sigwalt Chicago#10 Printing Press Letterpress This auction is for an antique lever press made by Sigwalt. Chicago, about 1910. The press is in a fantastic, unrestored, working condition, but it does need new rollers. I am including a box of antique type and leading in this auction to get you started. Length 15" height 9-1/2, width 6-1/2; chase 3-3/4x2-1/2. Please note that even though it's a small press, it is quite heavy and weighs 22 lbs as it's made of cast iron. John Sigwalt(1836-1924) started his working life in the sewing machine business. Then became a dealer in ticket stamps and seals. In 1899 he began producing small printing presses, copies of various popular models. His Chicago, a copy of Dorman’s Baltimorean, was on the market by 1910. The press works but it is not the smoothest running press. Missing a bolt and washer to hold one of the side arms. The rod that holds the treadle is a replacement. Sigwalt Chicago #9 table top letterpress printing press antique platen Kelsey
Hi. Selling a little table top letterpress printing press. No markings, its either a sigwalt or Chicago#9. Chase inside dimensions are 3-13/16 x 2-1/2. Is made to use with 2 rollers, but this does not have rollers with it. About a year ago I stripped it down, sandblasted it, and painted it black. Looks nice! I replaced the lever nut/ bolt with new stainless hardware. I made the chase out of 1/4" stainless. not original, but works great. I also drilled and tapped for(2) 1/4-20 bolts in the bottom of the chase which eliminates the need for quoins when using a block. platen is nice and even. Adjustment screws work properly. Needs gripper spring. ink disk works and spins as it should. Nice little press. I use it regularly, I just want something bigger. Use as is and ink with a brayer as I do, or buy rollers/trucks. Nice for business cards ... moreand such. I currently have it on a wood base, which I will include if you're doing local pickup, but it is not included if press is being shipped, as it would not be worth the additional shipping charges due to its size. I have other antiques listed and more on the way. This is a RARE hard to find piece of printing history still in working condition but you would need a roller if you wanted to use it. It has great pinstriping and an awesome flower design there just aren't many of these left. The levers and moving parts move great as they should. It looks great as is but is a bit dirty it will clean up and look even better if you want to. This is small so you can display it anywhere making it great for a decoration in a home or office. It comes just as you see it so look at the pics. I am not a printing press expert but as you can see it is a great piece.

Chase for a large table top printing press. I had several of these laying around. If I recall correctly I got them with a Craftsman brand table top press with a 6 1/2 x 10" printing area. They may also fit a C&P Pilot which is designed and made very similar to the Crafstman. I'll give you the chase dimensions so you can measure your particular press to see if it will fit. My chase does NOT have the little wedge protrusions on the side that are used to fit and mount some chases. My chase would nest into two feet at the lower section of the press and be secured with a movable spring loaded clamp at the top. DIMENSIONS are: 6 1/2 x 10 inside and the outside measures 7 7/8 x 11 3/8. Chase is in fine usable condition. It will hold metal or wood type. No damage or repairs. It lays flat. Early GOLDING OFFICIAL Tabletop Letterpress Looks to be a Model 2. Great for YOUR Collection. Great way to get into Tabletop Printing. Up for offer is a Original Golding Official Letterpress. Looks to be a Model 2 although I cannot verify that. Marked GOLDING MFG. CO. as well as FRANKLIN. MASS. USA on one side and OFFICIAL on other side. Press is missing the ink disk and the chase as can be seen in photos. Also missing the small finger that rotates the ink disk. No ink rollers. Ink rollers should be readily available on ebay. This could easily be operated without the ink disk as the form could be inked with a hand brayer until a disk can be obtained. Has normal wear from use and storage including scratches. Scuffs, marring and some light spots of surface corrosion is several spots. I have cleaned it and oiled it to the best of my ability ... moreand it LOOKS GREAT. No breaks or repairs. Looks to have what might be original paint. The press opens and closes very nicely and operates very smoothly. Challenge Platen Printing Press Letterpress
Challenge platen press I bought it a few years ago and while attempting to move it ourselves. It fell off the truck and was damaged. The bar that holds the flywheel on is broken. As well as the arm that holds the wooden shelf on the front, and the lever on the side. In addition to the damage from falling off the truck, one of the holders for the rollers is broken, and the roller that is on there needs to be replaced as well. I havent had the time or money to look into repairing it. And it has just been sitting in the garage under plastic. Local pick up only. It is extremely heavy and you will need at least a few people and a truck to pick it up. But an engine hoist would be best if you have it.

I have only had it since the summer and have decided to let it go since I prefer a hand crank Vandercook. I have only printed one poster on it since in my possession. I have replaced the tape and sanded and powder coated the feed board for a nice smooth finish. The ink rubber rollers and all metal rollers are in great shape. Each block measures 1 5/8" tall and are in good condition with normal wear from age.
