Roland VersaCamm VP-540 54" Wide Format Digital Printer
I am selling my Roland Versacamm VP 540 Wide Format Digital Printer for parts or for someone to fix. I just dont have the time or patience. The unit is about 6 or 7 years old and printed just as good as the day it was bought until the following happened: I had a clog in the Cyan head that I could not recover from. So I tried cleaning it in a Ultrasonic cleaner with cleaning solution, after install both Cyan and Black would not print. I first thought the problem was the Print Carriage Board, which I replaced with a new one but did not work. I then replaced the head cables, which did not work. After some research I found out that a fuse was blown on the main board. I replaced this but it keeps blowing fuses if any heads are hood up. Everything works but the heads. Paper feeds from both tray and manual insert. There are no missing or broken parts The color head can probably be cleaned. I had it printing faintly. The black head is toast. Literally. I tried to clean it too forcefully and it started smoking. I don't have the knowhow to replace the head, which I've seen for around $60.00 I have the original box and will ship it in that.
