Mutoh Falcon Outdoor 46 Inch Large Format Printer
Used Mutoh 46 Inch Large Format Printer. I have it for the last 2 years in my print and graphic business. Cosmetically its in excellent condition. I bought a 64 inch Seiko about six months ago and did not use Mutoh since then. Although I cleaned the lines and the heads before removing this but some ink may have clogged in the system. So it may needs thorough head cleaning with Eco-Solvent Head cleaner or New Heads. This is a real workhorse. Does not require expensive maintenance. I have seen these go between $3500(parts only) $8000. This printer/ cutter is in excellent working condition. We have had it in our shop for the past 5 years. I paid $6000 for it used. Put a new mother board and print heads in it. $3200) So I had $9200 in it when I bought it 5 years ago. We also upgraded it with a Supply 55 take up wheel so you can print all night long and not even be here. $900) You can see the test print, both print heads are working great! Images are crisp and the cut is perfect. This machine was used daily in our shop and has made back our money 10 times over. We did maintenance weekly, and had it serviced twice a year. We just purchased a new machine out of pressure from our rep. Kinda sorry I did! We are not busy enough to keep both machines. HP 5000 - 60" wide format printer
We purchased the printer new in'02 used it until'06 it's sat in the shop since then. We stopped using because we upgraded to a newer solvent unit. When the printer was turned off. Everything worked great. Never had any issues with this printer. All maintenance was done by factory techs at Reproimage. I would assume the ink lines and print heads have all dried up and will most likely need to be replaced.
