This printer has been abused and damaged while moving from State to State. It was last operational some time in 2008. And I was unable to get the black ink to prime, so it printed until the ink head itself ran out of ink and was not being refilled from the larger reservoir. Since that time. It has experienced some damage in transit. the print area cover had an item fall on it, causing the little plastic tabs to break. This will be an easy fix and the damage is minimal. In addition, the plastic housing was damaged on the side of the unit(see photo) Other than this. I have not inspected or tested the machine any further. I bought this printer last fall here on ebay hoping to get it running but I'm in over my head. Just want to sell to recoup some of my money. Issues: heads need replaced. And it gives a"head overcurrent error" on one channel. I've been told it should probably have the ink lines replaced and the head caps replaced too. Also the CR cables too. A couple of plastic parts broke on the head capping station(the part that holds the caps and moves up and down) and I repaired them with JB weld but you might want to replace the capping station. Also. The corner of the housing is cracked as shown in the photo. A sign warehouse tech guestimated $5000 to get it running. Roland, Large Format, Eco Sol Printer & Cutter model SP300 SP-300
Greetings fellow ebayers. Up for auction here is one. Roland SP300 Printer/Cutter. It accepts 30" media for printing and cutting. I am the 2nd owner of this printer. I bought it the first of this year and replaced one printhead, the ink lines, all dampers and cap tops. As you can see from the nozzle test picture, the head I replaced(magenta and yellow) prints perfectly, the other one not so much. The cyan/black head looks bad, but it still prints OK when I set it on quality mode and slow the carriage down 2 clicks. I just printed the picture of the nurse. You can buy a new, solvent printhead here on ebay for about $700. I bought this printer because I could not get the printed I had before to print good skin tones. This one does a great job of printing skin tones. But, now I need a printer that is slightly larger. So, instead of buying ... morea new printhead for this printer, I want to put that cash into buying a slightly larger printer. A new Roland SP-300i will cost you about $14,000. For about one third of that you can be in business with this one. The software that came with this printer is ColoRip 2.1. It works perfectly. What you see on the screen is what comes out of the printer. But it is only a Rip& Print program. You need a design program to get your design ready to be ripped and printed. I will incluse working copies of Roland VersaWorks and FlexiSign Pro 8.1. In order to use VersaWorks with this printer you have to change it into a SP300V. I will supply the instructions for this change. All you have to do is change one number in the setup menu and flip one dipswitch on the main board. One great thing about this printer is that you can design and print directly from CorelDraw. No other software is needed. I tried it and it works perfectly. I think you can also design and print directly from Adobe Illustrator, too, but I have not tried that. By the way, the contour cutting feature of this printer works great. This is a Roland CJ-500 that has been converted to an SC-500. It has front& rear heaters with built in temperature controllers. It is running on Roland OEM Eco-SOL Max inks and has never used 3rd party inks. This printer is in excellent condition and has perfect test prints. All of the main components were changed out when it was converted so the print heads have seen very little use. It currently only has 716 print hours on it and it had roughly 500 when it was converted) This is a hybrid machine that can be used as just a printer. It sat with a sheet over it and was never set up or loaded with heads or inks. I took the liberty of setting up the printer in order to fully test it. Results. perfect performance! I've put various media and sizes through it and I'm totally comfortable offering it up for sale in excellent condition! I have had the 24" models and sold them to graduate to the 44" version. I do not need the 60" but someone specializing in banners or huge stretched canvas pieces can use this all day long! The cloth. Print-catcher is missing. I think the owner didn't know what it was and/or misplaced it. sorry. Good used KIP 8000 printer with a KIP 2200 color scanner. Both are in very good condition. The meter for the printer is(meter A linear feet 0423865) and(meter B is 0956331) This unit was used at a power company and was no longer needed. It just had a new developer put on it at 371000. Everything is in good working order with no errors. The scanner is in good working order but its missing the purple dongle for color scan to file. It still works with monochromatic(black& white) A purple dongle can be bought with license for $600. All the parallel ports on the Embedded Controller are there(for PDF file etc. Both machine have low work hours and have a lot of life left on them.
