It heats up and I was able to stamp onto vinyl and leather and it seemed to work just fine. I really don’t know that much about this machine other than it works. I don’t know if it is performing as well as it was intended because I have no other machine to compare it to. It comes with a lot of extras type parts etc: See photo. Here is a site that has a far better understanding of the machine, and I believe they sell parts. There is also a really helpful video on this machine here: http:www.youtube.com/watch?v=iS72sa2ICIk The guy who made it is in Vegas and he sometimes carries parts and can be very helpful with advice. This vintage Kingsley set up is from an estate. I am selling this as a consignment for the family. I am not sure what model it is as the little plaque where it should be imprinted there is not indicated. However. Based on comparable machines on Google it looks like it's a model M-50. The machine is in great condition, mounted on a beautiful piece of Maple wood. Serial#43978. Also included is 4 sets of lettering pieces in their boxes. The boxes got turned upside down so they are a little bit of a mess. The little heat regulator knob is missing(should be an easy replacement if you don't care if it's original or not) Otherwise it is really easy to turn the post with your fingers.
