I bought this for a project at work. Used it that one time and haven't used it since. It worked great when I used it and assume it still does, but I have no laminating plastic to test it, but it turns on n off fine and heats up quickly. This laminator has been in use at my sign shop until recently but since we rarely use the heat features of the unit we decided to replace it with a much simpler laminator that meets our needs a little better. This is simply too much machine for what we're doing here. It's a very high end industrial unit that will do pretty much anything you may need from a laminator. The one thing I'll miss the most is the speed of this unit. It can be run at very fast speeds if you're doing cold lamination. Another nice feature is the roller lock mechanism which securely holds the media rolls to the spindles with metal cams that bite into the core of the tube. Very quick and easy to change out rolls with the swing out spindle arms. When using heat. There are cooling fans to quickly cool the media as it exits the machine. This laminator will ... moretake up to a 62" wide roll of media or laminate. It's runs on 220v power and the wheels make it easy to move around the shop. This is a GBC 4500 Pro Series 18" hot/cold 9 speed laminator in GUC. It shows signs of use. But no abuse. I went through this entire machine, cleaned top to bottom and lubricated chains with heat resistant grease. All functions work perfectly and it heats and runs at all 9 speeds. I heated it ONLY to what temp you see in photos, it reached the temp and the READY light came back on. Note: The 2 heat rollers(in front in pics) need replacing and I received a quote for complete resurfacing by a professional rubber company specializing in this procedure back east. The quote is $100 ea and are fully guaranteed. I can provide the company information to the buyer. Please see the wear on them in photos. Both pinch rollers(rear) are in perfect condition. GBC Eagle 65 - 2ft Laminator with 6 rolls of laminating film HOT AND COLD
When I bought my printing business. This came with it but I don't use it anymore. I paid $2200.00 for the laminator and 6 extra laminating rolls. I don't know anything about it. I only used it once. Everything works great on it but the tension rods needs tightened. When the two rolls are suppose to press together to laminate, it isn't 100% The tension rod needs tighten and I have no clue how to do that. I am going to be giving a huge discount on this since it is older and that the lamination isn't at 100% It can be fixed at no problem at all. You will have to pay for shipping and I don't know how much that would be. It is very heavy. If you would like to bid on this, I am sure I can give you around about quote for shipping. This is a great laminator. I'm an artist and I used it to make pristine work for galleries and museums. 44 inches wide and as long as you want to make it. This laminator is also great for digital sign printing. Laminator heats up quickly when you flip a switch. You can dial it up to 250F. The roller does have some knife slits in it which can leave some slight cosmetic marks depending what type of laminate you are using. A few things that were repaired or modified: We added some custom feet on the bottom to bring it up to our table height, these can be removed fairly easily if not needed. Also we added an aluminum tray to hold your roll when doing longer runs. The handle on the height adjustment wheel is repaired with epoxy. Has been that way for a long time without an issue.
