Antique Vintage Cast Iron Small Salesman Sample? Desk Table Top Printing Press
Very good condition with one exception there is a crack one one side of the handle. Shown in pics, it's a clean break and could be repaired, handle still functions properly. There are a few letters in it. Can not detect maker's mark, there is a previous owner's inscription on tape dated 1922. 4.25" x 7.25" x 3" w/ handle down 6.5" w/ handle up. Victorian Cast Iron Check Protector Printing Press Safety Seal Embosser Antique
Safety Check Protector Patented 1907-09 Boston MA. Cast iron office machine used to stamp checks to help prevent fraud. This model was advertised 1911 as Safety. And in 1924 as New Safety. Paint is worn on the bottom and part of sides, and the gold pinstriping is barely visible. Nice wooden handle and working dial lets you choose numbers and symbols to print. The printer/embosser still works! Item weighs just over 10 pounds, perfect for a unique bookend and conversation piece in the office.

Antique Golding Printing Press ( Improved Pearl Press No. 8 )
This is a nice antique printing press by the Golding MFG Company.The Improved Pearl No. 8. It needs restoration and we are still looking for the treadle(will update listing when it is found) The story we have about the press is that it was owned by a man who printed the church bulletin with it for many years somewhere in Bergen County NJ. It was then purchased by my grandfather who held on to it for about 40 years. It also includes all of the items in the above photos and 3 wooden trays of antique lettering. There are a couple of old cigar boxes filled with lettering and little images. There is a large sticker that has information about the press still affixed to the door(see above photos) If you have any questions. Just send a message. Antique Baltimore #10 Printing Press
This is a very nice example of an antique Baltimore#10 Self-Inking Table Top Printing Press. Produced late 1800 to early 1900's. This highly collectible press is in very good working order, all the functional parts of the press itself are included, with the exception of the roller, which always deteriorate over time but can still be purchased. This piece still retains the majority of it's flat black finish and gilded embellishments. There is, of course, some rust which can easily be removed if desired(we have not cleaned this press with the exception of simply wiping off the dust) While this press is no longer manufactured, instructions for the operation and spare parts can be found on the internet. The platen of this press measures 4 3/4 inches wide x 3 inches tall, and the inside chase measures 4 1/2 wide 3 inches tall. Overall ... morethe press measures 16 inches long x 11 inches tall x 7 inches wide, and weighs 15 pounds without rollers and type. Also included with this piece are several pieces of machined steel type and rubber type pieces, as well as a large number of slugs, 4 roller wheels, and wooden planer.

Up For Auction! This is a very nice antique printing press block of a photo of a man in a suit. This would have been used on an old printing press for a newspaper or label printer. The block has a couple of markings on it. On the back it says"Sugar Creek Creamery Co. I believe this came from the Bristol. SD area as there was a location in that town and this block came from a sale close by. The photo block is likely an owner or executive for the old company that was used for a label on the product or possibly a news story that ran regularly or sponsored by that company. I'm not sure and just speculating. The photo portion is made of metal and is attached to a heavy duty block. Up for auction is an antique 1898-99 New Year advertisement printing press wood block stamp. The block measures 2 3/16” x 2” On the block in the background is father time with a sickle and hour glass and top of head it has 1898. In the front is a child with top hat in hand and above the head is 1899. Walter M. Dunk is on one corner(believe he was engraver) and copyright 189_ is on other corner. The stamp comes in the original box marked American Publishing and Engraving. 146,148 and 150 Nassau St. 2,4 and 6 Spruce St. New York Syndicate Department. Antique Newspaper Printing Press Copper Stamp of Lawrence Eagle Tribune, Mass
From an estate of many different printing press stamps. All from the same newspaper, the Lawrence Eagle Tribune in Massachusetts. Really cool pieces that are very well made, with lots of detail and artistry. These blocks are late 19th century. This particular stamp has a copper plate on top of blackened wood. The bottom side of the wood has"Black? written on it( referring to letters I can't make out) The stamp reads"Haverhill Commandery" up top. And down below, Haverhill Mass" The stamp has a really cool depiction of a knight and a harbor with lots of detail. The stamp block measures 5 7/8" x 4 3/8" The plate is held on with 4 screws. Three of which are still in place. The top left corner of the plate appears to be snapped off, but the rest of the block is still intact, so it may have been made that way. ... moreHard to say. The wood on the back is in nice shape, showing no cracks or breakage of any kind.

Pickup only in Richlands. VA. Antique Hamilton Manufacturing Company letter press wood cabinet w/ type. Measures 36" high. 20 1/2" deep, and 27" wide. Nine out of eleven drawers have at least some contents in them. Most are quite full. I was not able to include a picture of every drawer because I am only allowed 12 pictures in the listing. Contact me if you desire more pictures. I will be glad to send them to you. Contents of the drawers consist of letters. Numbers, some prepared type like would say"honorary pallbearers, five wooden letters of varying sizes, and I believe some spacers and other accessories. Type appears to be in good condition and seems to range from about 8 pt. to 36 pt. Cabinet has wear but is quite solid. Drawers are very solid and in good shape. It is missing the lower 4 drawers. I acquired this cabinet ... morealong with an antique Chandler& Price printing press and a Northwestern Motor Co. motor by which it was run. I am told that these were last used by a preacher who printed his bulletins and other papers with it. This is further proven by the prepared type in the drawers(words like pallbearers. Etc. It swivels freely where it should. The circular plate moves as it should. The two roller bars that come across the plate look to have seen better days and will need to be refurbished or replaced. Antique Cast Iron Baltimore No.10 Tabletop PRINTING PRESS Letterpress
Here is an antique Baltimorean number 10 table top platen letterpress printing press. It's made of cast iron- very heavy at 15 lbs- and seems to be in very good condition. I don't know anything about printing presses. But it looks as if all the parts are there and in working order. The rubber roller is not dried out, but has a small dent in it& a replacement metal end. No rust other than on the underside of the base. Most of the gold painted trim is still good, the only worn off paint is on the handle. There is type inserted in it; various letters spelling out the words'name, address, phone' etc. apparently for printing out service cards. It measures approx. 15" long and 10" tall.There are manuals and parts for this press online; do a Google search. Still a useful item after 100 years or more. Or to add to a ... morecollection. Antique 36" cast iron flywheel / drive wheel Corn Sheller ? Printing Press ?
Up for auction this week we have a vintage 36" cast iron flywheel/ drive wheel. The diameter is: 36" and the width is 1 5/8" This wheel is really cool looking as you can see in the photos. good condition. But does have a busted shaft in the center. This is the shaft only and has nothing to do with the wheel itself. In other words, if you remove the shaft, the wheel is perfect. I don't know what this wheel was originally to, but I would guess maybe a hit and miss engine? Anyway, again it is cool looking to display in your home or lawn. No shipping. Antique Chandler & Price Letter Press Printing Pat. 1885 8 x 12?
Antique Chandler& Price letter press. Patent date May 26. 1885. I bought this press from a man who told me it had been used by a preacher who printed the church bulletins and other papers with it. The papers attached to the press when I received it gave indication of this. As they were funeral notices. The year on the notice is 1998, so the press may very well have been used as recently as that year. All parts appear to move freely. The rollers look to have been replaced and appear to be in good condition. One of the boards has been repaired(see pics) but may need further stabilization. Though I believe the press may be an 8 x 12. I am not entirely sure of its size. It does look as if the chase is missing. These can be bought for under $100 here on ebay. Total dimensions of the press are about 50" high. 31" wide, and 46" ... moredeep. The chase bed measures about 9 3/4" by 13-14" depending on where you measure to. I also have a Northwestern Motor Co. motor and controller that were apparently used to run this press. I have not yet checked them for working condition. These are not included in this listing. But if you are interested in those, let me know. Check out the Hamilton cabinet w/ type I have listed as well! I acquired it with this press. As you can tell. I am not very knowledgeable about these. Feel free to ask questions, and I will try to answer. If you need more detailed pictures, I can send them to you. Local pickup only. It is stored in my garage. RARE antique Newspaper Printing Press Blocks OLD Abraham Lincoln wood block LOT
Very rare find of a very old antique Abraham Lincloln wood printing press block also include is an assortment of 13 other vintage/antiques print blocks. I have been looking on and off for a couple years trying to find a comparable block to the Abe Lincoln with no avail. The block is 4" High by 2" 5/8" wide. I am including the others as well. Guaranteed a genuine original sign. The Cottrell Company was founded in 1855 by Calvert B. Cottrell and Nathan Babcock in Westerly. Rhode Island, to manufacture general machinery. In addition to cotton and woodworking machinery the company produced printing presses. By 1868, the Cottrell Company was producing printing presses exclusively, and Calvert Cottrell began to develop improvements to the form. Adapting his presses to new technology, Cottrell produced steam ... morepowered presses that improved the overall quality and speed of printing. The partnership between Cottrell and Babcock ended in 1880 when Babcock retired from the company. Renamed C. B. Cottrell& Sons. Calvert brought his sons into the business and continued to develop new printing technologies to set his presses apart. One of Calvert's greatest technological innovations was the Cottrell Black Perfecting Web Press, which printed on both sides of a roll of paper without smudging the ink on either side. Antique Kelsey & Company Model 3 X 5 Excelsior Printing Letter Press
First off. I don't know much of anything about printing presses, but I will describe as best as possible. The is an antique Excelsior Letter Press that prints a 3" by 5" card. It is marked on the handle as well as the base. Size is about 8&1/2" by 19, and it weighs about 32 pounds. The plate with the letters in it has a patent date on the bottom- hard to read, but I think it is 1893. Condition is as found and as shown. While I don't know if it's missing anything else, it is missing the flat round plate. The print rollers look quite dry and I would guess that they need to be replaced. Other than that, it looks good to me. Please look at all of my photos for best idea of quality and condition. That's all I can tell you about this. Found in a local estate which had the basement full of printing block cabinets. Presses, thousands of wood print blocks and so much more that had been untouched for many years, this item is just one of the many that I acquired. Marked on one side of the cast iron stands is GOLDING MF'G Co/ FRANKLIN. MASS. and on the other PAT. JAN. 9. 85. This is clearly an early item from the renowned printing press& tool company from Massachusetts. This item is one that would have been mounted/ secured to a table and it is constructed out ... moreof heavy cast iron and wood. The cast iron is in good condition given its age and there is only very light surface rust in a couple of areas. The hand turning style pressing mechanism turns easily and very smoothly as the threaded bar is clean and free of any rust or debris. The two solid hardwood planks which are secured to the cast iron are also in relatively good condition. The wood is very clean and smooth to the touch however it has darkened over the years and as shown in the photographs, there are areas of staining which I am assuming was caused by an adhesive material back when this item was used. There are a couple of small cracks in the wood towards the lower portion where the screws are inserted into the wood but these are old cracks and there is no sign that the wood will further crack. The cast iron is also very clean to the touch as I have given this item a thorough cleaning(but not to the extent that any'character' was taken away) and the only damage to the cast iron can be seen in picture number 10. There is a clean break in the cast iron which I am assuming would effect the use of this item however because it is a clean break, a repair of this area would

Antique Victorian Printing Press, Tabletop letterpress, calling cards, Business
This listing is for a beautiful Victorian era calling card or business card letterpress or table top printing press. This item is being sold exactly as found out of storage in an old barn here in the Mid-coast Maine area. I am not familiar with these particular items. So I took this press to a local master printer who informed me that these little presses were used in the late 1800's to early 1900's and were often used privately to print calling cards or by small businesses to print either business cards or information on postcards and photos. This press still has some of the lettering in it which can just be made out to have something to do with photography. This piece has fully working mechanisms. It could use a bit of tightening and adjusting. There is an area of missing paint on the upper printing panel. Also the rubberized roller ... morehas grown dry and brittle with age. Both are an easy restoration. And not really inhibiting this piece from being used as is. It appears to be made from a thinner than expected metal, with maybe parts being tin. It is not a heavy cast iron press. It is being sold"barn fresh" as is, due to its significant age, and the fact that I have made no attempts to alter or restore it in any way. He had a extensive collection of printing presses, and a garage full of presses, and 2 large rooms devoted to all his type. This press I am assuming is from the 1880's early 1900's. I know nothing off the printing trade. I do remember as a young boy occasionally playing with it. The press looks to be complete.
