I pulled the cord that starts it up and the air pump works and makes air pressure and engine has great compression. I also checked the oil and it is full with no signs of extreme debris wear or water. The gas tank hasn ot been filed in a few years so I would also assume it needs a carb cleaning. This is a rare find indeed. I found this sink in an abandoned house and with great effort retrieved it for sale. It is not in the worst of condition. Being that it is nearly 100 years old. There are plenty of places that restore sinks and tubs, found in the yellow pages and would love to help you in restoring this item. I would rather sell it in it's original form, then restore it and try to get top dollar for it. It is made of cast iron, and is a Crane Corner sink. Manufacture date places it in 1929, which is around the time of the great depression. Which is astounding in it's self. Especially since there were not many things that were made during that time. I rate the condition of this comic as VG+. The principal reason for the rating is the missing cover piece in the bottom right corner and crease in the upper right corner. Beyond those two items this comic is a solid FN/VF. The comic lays flat. The cover has very fine color and gloss, the spine is tight, there are a couple stress lines along the spine and there is a little cover color loss near the spine edge near the top. The back cover looks very nice with some soiling in the white areas. The interior pages are complete, in very nice condition and there are no markings. The comic is bagged and boarded and will be protected by cardboard when shipped. I will combine shipping for multiple buys. Up for Auction is a Vintage Crane Porcelain Double Basin Sink. It Could be used as a Kitchen Sink or a Laundry Room Sink. Made sometime between the 1920's- 1950's. I'm not sure exactly. But in that time frame. I removed this sink from a house that is going to be torn down. It was used in the Laundry area of the basement. The style of the home was very a common style from the 1920's- 1950's, a Cape Cod style home. But from everything else in the house. I'd say most likely from the 1930's or 1940's. The sink is in Very Good. Used Condition. There are a few small chips in the porcelain, none too big. The bottoms of the sink basins have several small chinks out of each side. This is a well built. Heavy sink. It's made of cement with an over glazing of Porcelain. The Sink sits on a pressed metal Base. It could ... morebe mounted onto a custom framework. There are holes on the back bottom, that can accept bolts. I would guess that the sink Weighs between 80 and 100 pounds. The sink Dimensions are as follows: 36 Inches Wide overall. One area, the very back by the Back Splash is 36 1/2 Inches Wide. 33 3/4 Inches High to the basin edge. Sitting on the metal Base. 4 1/2 Inches High to the Back Splash. 24 3/4 Inches Deep From the Top Front Sink edge to the Back Splash. The Basins are 14 3/8 Inches Wide X 17 1/2 Inches Front to Back and 11 5/8 Inches Deep. There is no spill over hole between the Basins. The Back Splash is 1- 1 1/4 Inches High. The Opening for the Faucet Fixture is 5 5/16 Inches Wide X 1 7/16 Inches Deep. These are some very old sink brackets that could be used as shelf brackets. Underneath the chippy paint is nickel plated brass. They have mounting holes on one side. ANTIQUE HANDCRAFTED OAK DRY SINK BAR CABINET CUPBOARD WITH MARBLE TOP
This dry sink has been in the family for at least three generations. It's solid wood- oak I believe- with a red-brown marble top. It has seen some use and has a few scratched spots(see photos) but is a really nice serviceable piece of furniture; sort of a small gem. I've tried to capture it's character in the attached photos. Features: White oak(I'm pretty sure) construction« Maple( inlays on the drawer fronts« All original hardware. Including the porcelain casters« Dovetail joints on the drawers« Original red-brown marble top. I've been in the marble business for 30 years and don't recognize the stone; I'm guessing it's from an old eastern quarry. 30" wide x 16" deep x 38-1/2" tall to top of backsplash I can find no identification from the manufacturer but the piece is obviously ... morehandmade. While the front and sides are nicely finished. The bottoms of the drawers and the back panels are rough sawn. There are markings on the bottom of the large drawer which say"J.M.T. Macon City Mo, perhaps indicating a customer name as though the piece was being shipped to them. These are similar to the markings on furniture in the steamboat Arabia museum here in Kansas City, all of which dates from the 1850's. While I do sell a variety of items on eBay. I’m not an antiques or collectibles dealer. This is an item from my mom’s estate that we’ve decided to part with. There is some roughness on the metal drain chain plate. The faucets appear to be a cast metal(not iron) as a maginet won't stick to it. I believe it is chrome over brass although I cannot see any brass showing through any where. It is complete with washers and pipe nuts. The pipe ends are 1" and it is 3-1/2" center to center. This is the cutest little copper sink. I had visions of making it into a firepit table using an old wrought iron coffee table I have.then I thought what a great outdoor garden sink it would make.but as is often the case at my house, it just continues to hang out in the garage. It is beautiful and has lots of character and potential. Yes also lots of dings and dents. This sink is approx. 19" x 12" and about 7" deep. It is predrilled with a 1 1/2" drain hole.
