It is part of the Heart Group and has a 13 heart border rim and 48 scallops and is listed as No. 465-J in the Ruth Webb Lee book on early cup plates. It has a 3 1/2" diameter and has lovely coloring. Two scallops are missing and another 2 have roughage at the tips. The prominent one is pictured magnified. This opalescent coloring is listed as Scarce in the Rose/ Lee Book on page 280. I tested it for 24 hours and it kept accurate time. This beautiful and stunning Clock has a diameter of 1 2" I w ashed and inspected this item and found 2 chips on the edge(teeth) They aren't completely broken off so the damage blends in and isn't very noticeable. I have included close up photos of both locations. I gently washed the clock face which is decorated gold tone metal. There is a bit of wear on the number 5. The gold tone has some discoloration. Pair of Opalescent Sandwich Early American Pattern Glass Tie Backs. Each piece measures 2 1/4" in diameter and the shaft is 3 1/8" long. This matched pair of tie backs were made by the Boston& Sandwich Glass Co and they date from the 1850's. The condition of these pieces is very good. You can see that they were re-glued at one time and one of them has a chip on the back side where the shaft screws in. Nice color and opalescence. There are no other chips and no cracks and the pieces have not been ground. I will combine items when possible to save shipping costs. I had an odd number and there are small flaws so I decided to include them with the Tray as a bonus. The Tray measures approximately 10-1/4" x 6" x 3/4" high. This Tray has a white background with a wide mint green border which is trimmed with gold gilding and in the centre of the Tray there is a lovely bouquet of mixed flowers in a fancy vase. Looking at the Photographs will give you a truer description. This Tray is in good condition with no chips. Cracks, wear or repairs. There is crazing but this is common with age. Just normal usage markings from light use over the yeras. Wonderful laced outer edge adds elegance. Large spaced vertical ribbing is fantastic. Slight indentation around the middle would securely hold a dip bowl in place if using for veggies or fruit. Wonderful vintage multi-use item that is as practical today as it was the day it was made. Fenton"Opal Glass" SilverCrest Crimp Edge 11 1/2" Sandwich/Dinner/Serving Plate ~ RARE and hard to find! In 1941. Fenton Glass started producing Fenton Crystal Crest which was the forerunner of the present day Fenton Silver Crest or as some would spell it Fenton Silvercrest. Fenton Silver Crest was an opal glass with a crystal ring spun around the edge and a second ring of opal around that edge. Fenton Crystal Crest was only in the line for one year when the company switched to Fenton Silvercrest in order to eliminate the outer edge of opal glass. Fenton Silvercrest was much easier to produce that the Fenton Crystal Crest was. This gorgeous piece can be used either as a sandwich/dinner plate. Or as a serving platter or even a charger. It is in exquisite condition. With little or no usage marks. There are no cracks. Chips or ... moredamage of any kind. Any marks found on the face of this piece appear to be from manufacturing. This piece is approx. 11 ½” in diameter. The foot is approx. 5 3/4” diameter and the ruffled edge sits approx. 1 3/16” off the table. It weighs approx. 2 lbs. 1 oz.
