I see that this menu measures about 10" inches in length. And shows slight age darkening or wear. Overall this menu is quite straight and readable, featuring a Goose Liver sandwich, Tongue, and even Imported Caviar. If you look very closely, the menu shows some very faint writing across the frontside possibly by the business owner. This card is still attractive showing slight aging to the coloring. 10" Hand Blown BLUE GREEN PITCHER - Pairpoint, Gunderson, Sandwich Glass
You are bidding on a stunning hand blown pitcher measuring 10" tall in a blue green color. This pitcher has a polished pontil and has the characteristis of a few older glass companies in my region. I believe it is a Pairpoint or Gunderson pitcher based on style. I saw a similar pitcher in a older Pairpoint book(in cobalt) with slight differences but the shape looks the same. I imagine that the item may have evolved over time and the handle seems to loop higher. I will say that the blue-green color is reminiscent of some Sandwich Glass items I've seen so that is one reason for hesitation. It is a heavy pitcher and is stunning in its display. Simply. There is a small dot(see photo below) to one corner and also a crack to one corner which I feel is not caused by damage but looks like something in production as it is in a very strange place for damage. Offered here without reserve is this magnificent mahogany Sheraton vanity/ dressing mirror with three dovetailed drawers and sandwich glass opalescent knobs. The secondary wood is poplar and pine. The glass to the mirror itself is almost certainly not original. Though old(there are subtle indications of deterioration to the silvering) but otherwise she's in superb condition. original feet and no repair s whatsoever to the veneer and wood. As for dimensions. She's not small: 27 1/2" wide, 9 1/8" deep, 26" high to the top of the mirror. Aside from taking the mirror off the posts, she'll have to be shipped whole since the posts are apparently well-glued into the base. Again.
