This is a great 70th anniversary commemorative piece for anyone who loves Krystal hamburgers and restaurants. Printed on back is the restaurant's history over the past 70 years and at the bottom states: These unique miniature prints are exact size reproductions of original water color paintings. Skilled artists in England use brushes down to one bristle in size to paint with incredible detail. These prints are double matted. Framed in aluminum, individually hand titled, and include the artists' initials. The 2 prints depict the original Krystal restaurant back in 1932 and the current Krystal restaurant in 2002. With golden arches soaring over a glass and metal, red-and-white tiled exterior, the building largely follows the McDonald brothers' original blueprints, which they had introduced ... morewhen they began franchising in 1953; a Phoenix, Arizona restaurant was the first built in this manner. Kroc's restaurant was the first McDonald's built in a colder climate, and some adaptations were made to the design, including a basement and a furnace.The entrance sign is original, with early cartoon mascot"Speedee" Representing the innovative Speedee Service System. Inspired by assembly-line production, the McDonald brothers had introduced in 1948. It has, however, been moved from its original location at the south end of the property. The sign boasts"We have sold over 1 million. The replica museum offers irregular summer hours, and is often closed; tours are by appointment. The ground floor exhibits original fry vats, milkshake Multimixers(which Kroc had sold when he first encountered the San Bernardino McDonald's restaurant) soda barrels and grills, attended to by a crew of male mannequins in 1950s uniforms. This Hershey's Chocolate Mug is about 3 3/4" H. 3 1/4" dia. on top and bottom. This is a heavy advertising cup and it makes me think of the old restaurant china but it is not marked on the bottom. A little over 1 lb. I have no idea if this is an older mug or not. It does have some wear on the bottom edges. As you can see it says HERSHEY'S CHOCOLATE and in the center is H C CO. I have no idea if it's a new or fairly new mug. Or if its vintage. I looked on ebay and at the time I looked there were many different Hershey Mugs/cups that were the same, but I found only one other mug like this one. This auction includes this nice mug made by Red wing in Minnesota. It is an advertising mug made for McDonald's restaurants. This mug measures 3.5 inches tall and is a grayish stoneware with blue trim around the top and blue and red lettering. The McDonalds is in red and the arches and date. 1994, are in blue. The bottom reads"Redwing stoneware co-Redwing Mn" I have looked the mug over closely and see no cracks. Chips, crazing, or damage. Based on its shape. This 4 1/4" tall creamer was probably made by Carr China of Grafton, WV. The plates are Shenango. Aztec Restaurant ware with the old mark. They are heavy cream colored china with elegant thick gold lettering and border. The name in the center is"Kemlings" We don't know anything about the restaurant. I am sure some among the Ebay members remember Kemlings, we would appreciate their information very much. These plates came from an old estate in North Central Kansas. Have been kept. Nicely packed for about 20 years. We purchased them from a relative, who knew nothing about them either. They are in beautiful condition. I can see some utensil marks. But the gold is all good. There are no chips or discolorations. We have 20 plates, selling in lots of 4. They are very heavy. Pair of Syracuse restaurant ware small plates w/red rose pattern
A pair of Syracuse restaurant ware small plates with a red rose pattern on a cream colored background. One is back stamped 4-EE Syracuse china. USA dating it to 1950& the other is back stamped 4-HH Syracuse china, USA dating it to 1953. Each plate measures 6 1/2" in diameter. Plates are in good condition with bright color. Glossy finish& a slight amount of surface wear. No chips, cracks or crazing. Each plate has a couple of tiny spots on the back where the glaze is missing, most likely something that occurred during the firing process. These pretty plates would brighten any breakfast table!
