Spindle on the Volt moves but the spindle on the MA side moves only when powered off. The Model 494 Power Supply is a"floating" power supply. Where neither positive or the negative output connector is referenced to the chassis ground. This is to minimize the danger of lethal shock from equipment leakage. The 494 power supply has three modes of control; constant voltage, constant wattage and constant current. The unit will supply from 0 to 2000 VDC delivering up to 150 watts of power to the load.
