General Radio Variac, USA, Fully Functional Condition, Tested.
Up for auction is a 0 to 130vac variable output transformer(Variac) The device was made in the USA by General Radio Co in Mass. This item came from a legitimate auction at San Diego City College. As can be seen in the pictures. I connected my DVM to the output to show you that this equipment does in fact work. The overall condition is good having only one dent in the tinwork making it look slightly out of round by the control knob(see picture) There is some strange mottling effect on the upper surface, I don’t think it is rust it looks more like a student splashed something on it years ago. It does have a number engraved on the side which doesn’t mean anything to me. The power cord is in great shape. Local bidders are welcome to collect the item personally and save postage.

Up for auction is a variable AC output transformer(Variac) made in the USA by General Radio Company. This item came from a legitimate auction at San Diego City College. I connected my DVM to show you that it does in fact work. The device is in great condition with only some minor pitting of the aluminum receptacle cover and also a minor dent in the same cover just to the lower right of the receptacle itself(see picture) The tin shroud has no ugly dents and is nice and round. However. The number K15948 is etched on it. The power cord is in excellent condition having an old fashioned gnarly-looking rectangular plug. Due to the weight of this device by far the best way to ship is via USPS Priority Mail Medium Flat Rate Box. In order to prevent the large black knob from getting smashed in transit I will remove it and pack it separately in bubble ... morewrap and stuff it down alongside the transformer.
