Up for sale is a vintage Sebastian Miniature figure“Switching the Freight” number 6236. The figure depicts a young boy playing with his toy train set. An original box is also included. I will be listing a whole collection of these figures this week. According to the insert brochure: The Sebastian Process was developed starting in the 1940’s where the founder. Prescott Baston, researched each idea, then sculpted it, using hard clay to capture delicate detail. A mold was prepared for each sculpture. A liquid substance of fine ceramastone particles in suspension was poured into each mold and allowed to harden. When the hardened castings were removed from the molds, they were hand finished to remove any casting irregularities. Then each is hand painted(using extremely fine brushes for details such as eyes, mouths, eyebrows) and sealed with a ... moreglaze that preserves the detail and color. Ibanez 540PII 540-PII DNA swirl Dimarzio Petrucci switching
Up for bids is a really nice Ibanez 540-PII. Is it genuine? No- they didn't make them like this. However. This was bought from a professional luthier/builder and he did a magnificent job on the parts. I used all original Ibanez parts for this project so it has a REAL Lo-Pro Edge, REAL Ibanez tuners and REAL Ibanez pickup rings. It is loaded with a Dimarzio D-Sonic in the bridge(pink/green) and a Dimarzio Liquifire in the neck(red/greeen) They are tied together by a genuine EBMM switch from a Petrucci guitar. I had bought a bunch of these for project guitars and I used one for this project. Single volume knob. The last 4 frets are scalloped the way the JEMs have them. The action is incredible- very fast. The neck is actually nicer than a lot of stock Ibanez necks. That's just my opinion though. EVERYTHING on this instrument was done ... moreor installed professionally so you can bid with confidence. This was finished in a sweet DNA-style swirl. The paint looks great on the headstock and body and really has a natural factory look to it. In fact. The DNA motif has also been taken to the neck as it has that cool helix for the inlays. Overall this is a nice take on the Y2KDNA but on the very cool 540-PII body. I will pack this very well since it didn't come with a case. However. I will also purchase a case(at cost) to ship this in if the winning bidder prefers. $50 flat shipping to the continental USA.
