The cabinet has the original finish on it with a light lacquer overcoat to freshen it up. There are minor dings in the panel paint but nothing serious. It is the original panel paint. This listing. Is for a old vintage and collectible transistor power supply. It is a model 510. Conar which is a division of National Radio Institute of Washington DC. It was purchased from a local estate sale, and appears to be in very good to excellent condition, for its age. I t is clean with no cracks or breaks. And then I plugged it in. But I don't know what I'm doing exactly, but this is what I found. When plugged-in. I put a multi meter on the black and red clamps and pulled the knob to turn it on and it did provide me 24 VDC, as I increased the dial clockwise. And when turning the dial counterclockwise. Heathkit HA-14 Ham Radio Amplifier with HP-24 AC Power Supply
This is a very rare find. In good to excellent condition Heathkit HA-14 Ham Radio HF RF Power Amplifier. Also included is the matching HP-24 AC power supply& appropriate cables. It is in very good operating condition covers 80 thru 10m bands less WARC. I just installed a matched pair of Taylor 572B's and am getting full power output, about 650w out. This guy was promoted as the Kompact Kilowatt. It truly is compact. The amp portion is smaller than many radios& is sure to fit conveniently on your desk top. The"Kilowatt" part comes in when you calculate the power used produce the output. today we simply look at a meter& know what it is"doing" There are no scratches, dents or dings anywhere I can see. Other than the normal discoloration above the tubes, this amp could pass for new. I see no signs of abuse ... moreor misuse even on the inside. No obvious overheated parts& it was very well built initially. As with all the electronics I offer, this item is being sold as-is. If you are a Heathkit collector, this is a very rare find! If you are a ham looking for a compact way to get your signal out, you can't go wrong with this amp. I will include the manual copied to CD, the HV& B+ cables from the HP-24 to the amp.

JAL 13.8 VDC 30 Amp Linear Power Supply for Ham Radio
JAL 13.8 volt power supply. 25 amp continuous. 30 amp surge. 120 volt AC with 3 wire grounding type plug. Power supply works well with radio on receive and no noise or birdies in the receiver. Tested the power supply on a,5 ohm resistor drawing 27.5 amps DC and maintained 13.8 volts DC. Tested the power supply on a transmitter and only got 11.6 volts DC. I did not have a station ground and I suspect RF was everywhere affecting the 723 regulator chip. I simply bought a new power supply. Perhaps a ceramic cap across the output or installed on the regulator board will fix this or perhaps no issue at your radio station with proper ground. Selling as a'tech special' no returns, no refunds. Sold'as-is' 24 lbs, ships to USA only.
