1935 Delta Sigma Lambda Fraternity Paddle, U of Nebraska, Huskers, Signed
What a unique find! This is apparently an initiation paddle for the 1930-something pledges to this fraternity at the University of Nebraska. Once owned by one of the active members of the Class of'35. The active members have signed it. Several alumni have signed it with their graduation years from 1931 through 1933, and of course the pledges have also signed it. I hesitate to put their names on the Internet without permission. But will respond to emails with any requests for your individual member search. The soft wood paddle appears to be made of pine. And is very beautiful shape, even patina, handmade and hand painted, with a light coating of varnish. It measures 24" long.
