Pottery Baby Bowl by Kikusui - Duck Pattern
Thank you for looking into our auction of a VINTAGE BABY BOWL WITH A DUCK WALKING WITH AN UMBRELLA BY KIKUSUI. If memory serves me correctly. This was my older brother's bowl, and it may have been bought when our father was a baby, which would make it an antique. The bowl is in fine condition, considering its age. There are no cracks or chips on it, and there are no real scratches or stains on it. There are signs of wear on it, however, especially on the bottom, and in the form of missing paint. There are a number of places where paint has come off, but the whole picture and the overall paint is in good/ fine condition. There is paint missing from the duck and from the inside of the bowl, but the picture of the duck, his umbrella, and the clouds behind it are still very clear. The orange ring around the outside of the bowl is really in ... morefine condition. I have been unable to find a listing for such a bowl on the internet, but I believe it was made in the beginning of the(20th) century, up until the mid 1930s.
