It is a NICE original plow that has been COMPLETELY rebuilt! with NEW parts and a NEW rear tire! this plow is in GREAT shape and ready to use or paint for a parade! the hard work has been done! I bought this at a consignment sale to resell. I have never used it. NO visible cracks! NO visible welds! it is in GREAT condition! I have NEVER owned another one like it! RARE! Nice John Deere plow This was repainted to use as a yard decoration. I do not know if it is useable or can be made useable. Being sold as-is. 1949 John Deere MT with 2 Bottom Plow. Ready to Work.
Here we a nice 1949 John Deere MT. Serial#14409. Engine runs strong with no smoke or knocks. Smooth hydraulics. Transmission is quiet in all gears, and clutch is good. Front tires are brand new. Rear tires have great tread, some cracking, the right has a small rip in it shown in picture. Has been used for years that way with no issues. Could use a better paint job, but still very presentable. Otherwise needs nothing. Tin is very straight, no rust or rot. Was always kept inside. John Deere two bottom plow with Yakima hitch
I acquired this about 15 years ago with the intent of fixing it up to show on my JD B or A. But I never got to it. It's in good shape for a cosmetic restoration but if you intend to use it for actual plowing you'd want to replace the moldboards as they are somewhat pitted. Note also that I don't have the two sleeves that connect the upper yoke to the rockshaft, however these could be fabricated without too much trouble. If you've read this far, you probably know that the Yakima hitch is a pretty rare bird. It was John Deere's answer to the three point hitch until Fergussen's patent ran out.

John Deere 2 bottom pull type plow on Steel Wheels Model 4?
For auction is a 1930's John Deere pull type 2 bottom trip plow used for show. This plow has been displayed at a local antique machinery show with a John Deere model B on skeleton steel wheels and has not been used for actual plowing. The plow would need rebuilt if you were to actually want to put this to use. One of the adjustment handles moves free but the other one has a clamp bolting the handle to the frame to not allow an accidental tripping of the plow. The drive wheel has bolts added to it for traction and the rim has alternating high points for added traction. Not sure if this is factory or not, see photos. The plow will roll on all 3 wheels.

The plow bottoms look good, moldboards are still pretty thick, points do have some wear, disc coulters look good. Looks like it still has lots of life in it. The frame looks good with no breaks or welds on it. Overall it looks to be a real good older plow, but keep in mind it is an old used plow and it is not perfect. Would be good for the smaller farmer; for your gardens or your sweet corn patch. Also good for your food plots. A great John Deere model 25 plow built in 1983 with real American steel. It has a 14 inch cut and shows very little use. The forge marks are still visible on the mold board and the landside still has factory paint on it. This plow has a cast heel on the landside. An adjustable gauge wheel, and a rolling coulter. The bottom shank is mounted with a pivot and a shear bolt to prevent damage from underground obstacles. The 3 point attachment has left and right adjustments to fit a variety of tractors. Hello again. Today for your consideration and bidding pleasure. a working John deere two bottom plow used last year. Plow shares have been welded on to lengthen and should probably be replaced but they do work in softer soils, all three tires are flat but did hold air last year long enough to do my plowing. this is a trip lift design model so no hydraulics are needed. pickup must be before april 1 or after april 20th as I will be away.
