This is a Japanese WWll army officer's sword in tachi mountings. The blade is signed"Chikushi gou Kunitada saku kore 筑紫郷 国忠作之" Shinogi-zukuri, WWll time period ca.1940 era made hand forged, water tempered blade. Kunitada was a Gendai sword smith in Saga prefecture and made swords WWll time and after the war. The blade is in original polish, shows light staines on surface but no rust and in excellent condition. There is no nick, no bend, no forging flaws, no crack temper and cutting edge is very sharp. The temper line is wavy gunome temper throughout the blade and has o-maru temper at the point. It is mounted in tachi mountings. Scabbard is urushi lacquered wood scabbard shows some lacquer loss but no cracks, no dents and in good condition. The handle is tight fit, menuki is not presented and in good condition. Antique Tatting Victorian Lace Collar & pieces -Hand Craft Crochet Net 3 pc Lot
For sale is a few pieces of Antique Hand Made Tatting Lace. There were once 3 pieces. But someone thought to be artistic, I guess, and cut a long piece into 3 smaller pieces and then sewed a piece of it at the top and two other sections onto either side at the bottom of the collar. The center piece measures 2.75" in diameter. The collar is 7 7/8" across at the top. These pieces were under glass when I received them, but the frame was in very bad condition. They seem to be kind of dirty, but I tend to clean things wrong& ruin them, so I will leave any cleaning up to the next owner. Presently they are hand-tacked down to this background, but the thread is cut on the back, so the tatting can very easily be removed without damage. I decided to leave them as-is to protect them until the next owner decides what they wish to do to ... morethem.

this week I was lucky enough to pick up an estate of mostly old porcelain pcs.this is a gorgeous old hand painted hair receiver-rose mottiff-pretty frilly shape-is marked C.S. PRUSSIA& has a flower logo-did see a small chip on the inside rim of the top& just so you know there are a couple of other very tiny flaws which I think were always there-it does show a bit of wear to the gold paint which also could have been there from the start& none of this as far as I am concerned hurts the look-judge for yourself from the pics-nice very old vintage pc. for a collector or just to pretty up your vanity or dresser-please be aware that these are previously owned& loved items therefore there"could" be normal wear&or they may need a gentle cleaning-pics are a great asset but they do not always do justice.
