This is a nice solid condition Ridgid 300 threading machine. The machine has new motor brushes and has been greased. The body is solid and the 1206 tristand has a solid center hinge and works well. Everything runs nicely. Included is a 12R threading set with a ratcheting head and six dies. 1/2" 3/4" 1" 1-1/4" 1-1/2" and 2" NPT 12R threading heads. All dies have been inspected and any dies/cutters with visible chips were removed and replaced with good clean cutting dies. The bodies of the dies are all solid and have good grooves for rotation. The switch box has the plug for using a footpedal. If you do not want to use a footpedal, the wires can be jumped on the switch to use it with no pedal. This Ridgid 300 Pipe threader machine runs strong. Both chucks both front and back open and close freely. It will come with the stand pictured and the cord on the machine is about 20 feet long. The on and off switch has a small piece broke off on the very end but it works fine with no problems. I also have the 318 Oiler bucket and hand pump that will include with the machine. Ridgid 300 Pipe Threader Completely Refurbished
Complete professionally rebuilt Ridgid 300 Pipe Threader The machine has been completely taken apart. Stripped down to base metal, repainted, and clear coated. All internal parts were thoroughly cleaned in a CUDA parts washer using rust prohibitor solution. The motor has also been taken apart and cleaned. All wire connections checked, all gears re-greased, and motor brushes replaced. Power cables including foot switch cable have also been replaced. All new nuts and bolts. New chuck jaws, new cutter wheel, new threading dies. Foot switch has been rebuilt as well. All other parts meticulously checked for quality. All replaced parts are Ridgid OEM. The machine was not only refurbished. But also has had some improvements on the problem areas from the original design such as: Grease Zerks: Originally the zerks were pressed-in. This is fine when ... morea machine is new. But after a few years the zerks become clogged and they are not replaceable unless you have a press and a jig. Most rebuilders leave the original zerks in and send you a dry machine that is not greaseable. Greasing these two zerks is the most important maintenance you can do for your Ridgid 300. Without grease, your front and rear bushings will wear out very quickly. We have made a jig for our mill for this upgrade. We remove the pressed zerks, drill, tap, and face the housing so that threadable zerks can be used. With our rebuilds, if you ever have a clogged zerk, you can pick a new one up at your local hardware store and change it with a 10mm socket. Electrical Terminal Connectors: We have replaced all of the electrical terminal connectors with marine-grade heat shrink terminals. Original connectors would often come loose. Powder Coated: We have also noticed that on the 300's. The stands and pedals take extra abuse so we powder coat them. We have also replaced all of the pins in the stands with through bolts with nylocs. Anyone that has used a 300 knows that there is nothing worse than having a leg go out on you. Pipe Threading Basics with Ridgid for the do it yourselfer is becoming more common these days. As big box home stores rent almost every professional tool you can imagine. In the D-I-Y spirit, here is a step by step guide to using a Ridgid threader at home. Please note however that Ridgid makes differing models of threaders, so use your common sense. Additionally, never use common steel dies on stainless steel pipe. Step by Step 1. First place the desired length of pipe to thread into the pipe vise. Tighten. This keeps the pipe steady and secure. 2. You will now insert the conically-shaped pipe reamer into the end of ... morethe pipe about to be threaded. Turn the reamer in a clockwise direction. 3.Remember to remove“raised portions” keeping the interior wall smooth and clean. There should be no debris inside the pipe. 4. Remove the reamer. 5. lubricant to the end of the pipe in small amounts. Aiding the threader dies in cutting the metal for the pipe threads. 6. The manual threader should now be placed over the end part of the pipe. Turn the directional button to the arrow side of the threader. 7. Push against the end while turning the handle clockwise. As the thread dies engage the metal of the pipe. Squirt a bit of oil onto the pipe, then continue on the end of the pipe. 8. At this point you are continuing on in the cutting process until the die reaches the end of the pipe. 9.
