For auction is a lot of two Vintage Ridgid Heavy-Duty U.S.A. Pipe Wrenches- one 10" with a 1-1/2" steel pipe capacity and one 12" with a 2" steel pipe capacity. Both of these vintage wrenches are marked with Patent 1727823. The famous W. O. Thewes/ Ridge Tool Co. patent issued Sept. 10, 1929. These vintage heavy duty used pipe wrenches are in good to very good condition and are fully functional. There is evidence of normal use for this type of tool. The 12" shows several hammer marks on the top of the handle but the handle is not bent and there is no damage that affects performance. The 10" shows only normal wear with no evidence of hammering or cheater bar use. The teeth on both wrenches show wear to the teeth but no damage or excessive wear. I tested both wrenches on 1" black pipe and 3/4" galvanized ... moreand they bite hard- exactly as they should. Most of the items I sell are from estate sales. Auctions, flea markets, etc. I clean them as necessary to properly evaluate the condition and allow you to judge the actual item rather than a previous owner’s dirt.
