Buyer beware! This scope has a non-standard serial number that starts with a“Q” This scope was never intended for sale. Was used for development, and somehow never ended up in a trash bin and written off as tax expense. No matter what the nice tek employee tells you, be it over the phone or via email, they will NOT service it and will probably thank for returning it, and keep it… This is a nice scope. Passes power on and all user initiated self tests. Consistently passes the critical Signal Path Compensation routine(SPC) w/o exception. Running latest scope firmware V2.5.3 with out issue. Has a win98 sticker on the back but is in fact running Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 3. Radisys.SF810” 566 mhz celeron, 256 megabytes, and a 6 gig hd. Front panel controls/leds are all correctly functioning. The on/off switch works but the led does ... morenot always light. Lightly touch it to light; this part is a high failure rate part, be nice too it. Floppy. Hard drive, and touch screen all work. The touch screen does have a couple of minor blemishes that can’t be seen in use. Overall this scope is in very nice condition, the only thing that seems to be wrong about it is the serial number. It has a minor ding at the upper left corner of the front bezel that might actually be a casting flaw(pictured) Keyboard and mouse not included but recommended(I like the ACK-540) Only the scope and a front cover are included with this sale. No accessories are included. Even if pictured. I’ve included a couple of pictures. But most are screen dumps to the floppy drive with the print button. Pay careful attention to the displays on screen information to get a better feel for the signals applied. I show a fast rise time signal of about 184 ps applied to all for channels with a 4 way power divider. To show input response. Next I applied a 100 mVrms to all four channels at 10 MHz. Note that at 1500 MHz, the scope easily exceeded the 70.7 mVrms–3dBm bandwidth cut off point. Bandwidth with this method appears to be at 1870 MHz. One pic

Tektronix MSO4032. 2Ch, 2.5 GSs, 350MHz Bandwidth This is a nice. Fully functional bench top oscilloscope. Its’ shallow depth with large display allows it to sit tucked well out of the way at the back of the bench, while in full use. Physical condition is very good but you would not mistake this as a new instrument. The probe compensation ground lug is scratched up but works 100% as intended. The front bezel cover has left minor rub impressions and Tektronix blue marks on the perimeter of the front bezel. There are minor rub marks on the rear case. Nothing particularly bad. Just evidence of previous bench use of a popular instrument, not abuse; it probably traveled allot based on the front panel/cover dings. Actual analog bandwidth on both analog channels measures to just above 450 MHz(100mVrms at 10MHz to BW at 70.7mVrms cutoff point(3dBm) ... moreSee picture where I show this test on both cannels. For many benches 2 analog channels at this bandwidth is more than adequate. Especially as this scope can decode and discover serial protocols in use. Add to that 16 individually configurable digital channels. For digital troubleshooting and triggering. The accessories picture with the square waves is a rare glitch. This scope captures it about once a second, that’s fairly descent. On scopes that don’t boast a fast waveforms per second spec, 3 to 5 minutes would be typical depending on your luck, some lunch box size scopes much longer. If you don’t understand the target system you can attach to a bus with the digital channels and change probe assignments. Data rates, parity, decoding type etc. until the decoding makes since. Once you’ve figured out what your attached to and are still seeing error, you can pursue that with the analog channels. This instrument is quite flexible in this regard. This scope has a maximum waveform capture rate of 50.000 waveform(screen fulls) of acquisitions per second.
