Vintage 1980's Panasonic RX-5250 boombox ghettoblaster radio tape deck
Hey what's up. This is Reli from the boombox forums. This is an RX-5250 from Panasonic. It's the same as the 5150 except that it has real cone tweeters instead of pizeo tweeters. So it has much better highs. And with the Ambiance feature it sounds really spacious. Everything works- Radio, tape deck, Aux jack. The Pause button makes a slight knocking noise(watch the video below) but it still does what it's supposed to do. Cosmetically it's clean. Except that there are several dents in the metal trim, such as near the function switch, the LED meters, and around the tape deck. See the photos and the video below. Here is a personal cassette recorder/player. It's been tested without a cassette and its functions(stop. Play, fast forward, rewind, etc. all seem to work just fine. However, I have no cassette to test the record functions of this unit. I'm assuming that the record functions work just fine as well. Up for auction is one vintage Sony Boodo Khan WM-DD100 personal stereo cassette player. The player is in excellent working and cosmetic condition. The Boodo Khan is one of the most famous models of the whole walkman range. The Boodo Kahn was one of the first personal cassette players to include bass amplification. Not only did it have one, it was the first one to have a dynamic one. The player amplifies not only the bass but also the highs. So the intensity is maximum at low volume and weak at high output. The internal mechanics are derived directly from the DDII and the DC2. Externally it has a closer look to the DD30. The cassette player targeted the audiophile.
