3M 7R Automatic Case Seal, Carton Taping Machine
This machine automatically tapes the top and bottom of a carton simultaneously. It is referred to as"random" in that it automatically compensates for different size cartons. The machine senses the height and width of the carton and raises the tape head and moves the side guides in to center the carton in the taping section. Cartons of differing sizes are fed through the machine one after another without any adjustments. It runs on standard 110V power and uses minimal quantity of compressed air. The feed belts and rubber rollers were replaced not long ago. It weighs about 150# so will need to ship via truck or you can pick up. I will band to a pallet. Shanklin HS-4 high speed shrink wrapping sealer with Shanklin servosync harmonic lugged infeed. Model H2054B. Sealer serial number H9519 and infeed H9519. Machine build in 1995. It is currently not running. It needs a new PLC. Allen Bradley SLC500, because the old one has memory problems. There was a new one available at another ebay site for $600.00. The eprom is good and the program can be accessed. DTAM seems to work OK. If you are familiar with Allen Bradley PLC's, you can fix this. The infeed electrical cabinet has a broken relay socket which would be easy to replace. One of the rubber rollers the film feeds around has turned gummy and should be replaced. The sealer infeed vacuum belt also needs to be replaced. But the belt around the seal bar looks OK. The HS-4 has a static bottom seal and hot wire end seal. Speed is up to 180 packages ... moreper minute depending upon package size. Size range: Minimum 2" W x 3" L x 3/8" H Maximum 16" W x 15" L x 3" H Maximum flat film width 40" Electric 460 volts. 1 phase, 13 amps. Needs compressed air also. While the machine is slightly scuffed from travel it is messy. And has been tested and functions. SPECS: Hand Held Impulse sealers are ideal for sealing polyethylene and laminated foils. This is a used Breeta SS-1355 13 inch shrink wrap machine. I used this one in a video store i once owned. It works very well and is easy to operate. A new model like this one sells for 250.00 plus or minus. I don't know how old this one is but. It's at least 10 years old. The only thing missing is the knob used to hold on to when pushing the arm down. It does not make a difference on how it works. The heating element is good and the bottom Teflon is new. I replaced the spring with a different type to see if it would do better than the short spring that it came with. The one that it came with had a tendency to break on occasion. I will send the broken spring with the unit should you want to replace it with one like it. This unit should do the job for lots of years to come. You can also reorder the maintenance kit with new wire, Teflon ... morestrip and rubber pad for around 15.00 to18.00 on the net.
