Celestion Ditton 25 Mk1 Speakers - 1960s - British - Original Packaging
MANUFACTURER& MODEL CELESTION DITTON 25 MK1 CONDITION USED– PERFECT WORKING ORDER– COSMETIC DAMAGE– ORIGINAL PACKAGING DESIGN OVERVIEW. First designed in the 1960s and progressively tweeked until the late 1970s. The Ditton 25 started life as the top of the Studio Series. 25Watt was the original power handling of the very early versions made in the Thames Ditton factory in Surrey. Celestion moved to Ipswich in the late 1960s and the Mk1 versions made in Ipswich were given a 60watt power handling despite using the same drive units and outwardly visible design. The Mk1 are easily identified as they use a rear mounted HF2000 super tweeter and two rear mounted HF1300. They also have a metal trim to the front baffle. Later versions lose the metal trim and have front mounted tweeters. The HF2000 tweeter, bass woofer and PBR are the same configuration ... moreas the awesome Ditton 66. They differ in that the Ditton 66 uses the superb mid dome rather than twin HF1300 and is much larger. So in many respects the Ditton 25 is a smaller brother to the Ditton 66 and at a much lower price. As any speaker from the 1960s. They are high efficiency designed for use with Tube amps and are a very good match. ITEM SPECIFICS. This pair has a lot of cosmetic marks to the cabinet but would look stunning given a light sanding and polish. All the drivers are original and are in A1 condition. Naturally they sound superb. Remarkable in fact for a pair of speakers celebrating their 50 th birthday. The grilles have their original material but both have small rips and could do with refurbishment. see pictures at the bottom of this listing. Aero-Seal" bag closer is designed to close stepped-end multi-wall bags after the filling operation. The bags have a pre-applied adhesive on the"step" Therefore. The bag closer activates the hot melt adhesive and folds over the top to seal the closure. The closing device is mounted on a rigid adjustable stand. This machine incorporates a heat seal unit which is located at the entry end of the closer. It consists of 37-1/2" spring loaded heater bars designed to seal polyethylene inner liners. As ... morethe filled bag moves along the conveyor. The bag top is hand formed and fed into the entrance guide of the bag closer. V-belts then convey the bag top through the bag closer. The bag top first enters between the heater bars which seal an inner liner. Next, the bag goes between the creasing rollers to set the fold line.
