Scales are made of unblemished butterscotch celluloid with nickel inlay of'Fromm with red background' and lovely nickel inlay at the toe end. There is no warping. Chips or cracks. Razor is honed with one layer of tape on a progression of 1K. 4K, 8K. 12K, 16K& 20K hones then stropped on Cerium Oxide(3grit) and further stropped on leather to finish. I am selling this for parts because the universal suspension mounting bracket is missing on the front. If you need that then see other machines. Other than that it seems to work fine. I tested it on a cardboard box. Foam sheets and firewood. You can see in the photo of a weld from this machine. It kind of rubs the plastic until it melts together I think.
