This machine is solid and works well. There is no play and the tables go up and down freely. The infeed table is 4' long and the outfeed is 3' long They are 17" wide and the tables are 33 1/2" high. It has a 12" wide 4 cutter head that makes for a nice edge. It now has a 3 HP. 3 Phase 440, 60 cycle motor. 7800RPM. The belt is 3 1/2" wide. A group of 6 brass oilers made by Victor Lubricator Co. There is 5 of one size and one smaller. The measurements are shown in the pictures. One of the larger oilers has some nasty groves cut in the edge. see close up) Two are missing the glass. The ones with the glass may have a deep scratch or edge flake/ chip. They are still useable. The catalog is brimming with great woodcuts or steel cuts of complicated machinery that would have been used in factories for the manufacture of wood products for home or business. The first 25 pages are curiously given over to code words that you as a buyer could use in your telegram to them about your purchases…why it needed to be coded is of interest…perhaps to keep the competition from knowing what you were up to? The code words could even be repurposed today…an unusual feature. The balance of the catalog is littered with the pictures of these fascinating pieces of machinery. On page 73 is an additional item that has been described by a bound in errata sheet that came ... morebefore binding. But after the editing process…another interesting feature of this old catalog.
