This is a beautiful flow blue Wash Pitcher- made by Bishop& Stonier c1900- the pattern name is ANEMONE and it is fully marked to the base with makers name and pattern plus registration numbers- I would date it c1900. It stands approx. 11 1/2" high to handle top- it is very clean looking with just a teeny flake on the foot of the serpent and a shallow chip on the corner of the base- not seen unless turned- I will add a pic later of this- but it is minor. Beautiful piece of flow blue by Ridgways of England. A premier maker of Flow Blue. A very familiar name to all flow blue collectors and prized for their patterns and depth of blueing achieved during the firing process. This piece has also retained the brilliant white base color of the semi porcelain that gives it that extra little something that all collectors of flow blue look for. The pattern name is Osborne and is a very hard to find pattern for this maker and the size of this small platter is rare as well and makes this such a find as it is easy to display. It has a line of gold trim below the design which is obscured by the flowing blue. The Blue Wreath Back Stamp and Registration Number(690339) date this piece 1922-23. It is a little rough! I tried to photograph it's various flaws; we have a hairline 1" crack which you can see clearly in Photo# 5 and discolored crazing which you can see in photo# 3 and 4 on both the front and back. Antique Machine Age Industrial CRAMER AIR - FLOW Posture Chair Kansas City MO
Here we have a very rare and early Cramer Air-Flow Posture Chair. Even the 50's padded versions of this stool are hard to find. This chair is adjustable in height as shown in photo 8. Also it can be lowered additionally by removing the top swivel feature. If you notice in photo 11 there is 2 pieces to the shaft of the stool the larger top one can be removed and the seat of the chair can connect to the longer adjustable shaft and there is a place for the screws in mounting feature under the seat to lock the chair so it won't be able to swivel. Also the back rest is adjustable in height as well as how far back from the seat it is. The seat of the stool can be raised as high as 25 inches and lowered as low as 18 inches. This is in fair condition because the gold has faded from use mostly around the rim. Glaze is missing in a couple of tiny areas, small area near the base on the outside is lightly discolored and tiny fleabite on the inside of the top rim which is difficult to see. Also very fine surface crazing but it does not detract from this. This is still a lovely flow blue piece even with the flaws and displays well. Antique W H Grindley Olympia Flow Blue 10" Dinner Plate Gold Trim 1891-1914 Exc!
Presented here for your bidding discernment is this pretty antique W. H. Grindley flow blue dinner plate in the Olympia pattern! The plate measures just under 10" in diameter. It is stamped under the glaze with the Grindley England mark in use from 1891 to 1914. The design features pretty blue foliage along with a raised white lacy border and beaded trim highlighted with gold paint along the edges. Some of the gold painted border has rubbed off in spots. Otherwise it looks excellent! There is a tiny 3mm sized(1/16th of an inch) on the back along the edge near the backstamp, as photographed. I believe I have successfully pointed out these defects with my photographs. Blue and white china has such a timeless and fresh look. As you can see from the display in my last picture. Lovely little vintage flow blue divided wall pocket with gold highlighting. It measures overall 4" long x 1 3/4" deep x 3 1/4" tall in very nice condition. The only mark on it is a diamond design on the back. There is a dark line in the body that looks like a crack on the back but it appears to be original to manufacture. It is solid. Glazed over and I can't feel it. You can see it in picture#9. Prettly little piece that could be hung as a ring or trinket holder, flower vase or it could be used as a dresser box or container. I've described this as best as I see. It is always possible that I missed something but I went over it well and didn't notice anything else. You are bidding on one vintage Stanley Turaine flow blue berry bowl(or possibly butter pat) This item is gorgeous. It does have a hairline crack that can be seen in the pictures. The hairline crack goes through to both sides. There is some gold wear due to age. When I run my nail around the edge. I can feel 2 or 3 tiny, tiny flea bites. I can't see them. You are bidding on one antique flow blue Rose Pattern plate. This item is by Grindley. There is quite a bit of utensile marks when you tilt it and look in the reflection. There is a lot of gold wear. This is 7 3/4" across and was made by English potter Frank Beardmore sometime between 1901 and 1916. From what I have researched, he used a different mark after that time. This has wonderful blue coloring with a feather type design at the rim. There is a crack which is stable on the right side as well as a couple specks of grit under the glaze. The plate measures about 5 3/8" in diameter and were originally part of a complete toy tea service. The color is cobalt flow blue The plate was made by Charles Allerton& Sons. A pottery manufacturer in the Staffordshire region of England who was well known for his whimsical children's tea sets. The influence of the Aesthetic movement on the pattern designs captures the Victorian love of nature and the exotic. The plate depicts young Little Mae sitting on a stoop in a doorway with a kitten on her lap. A cat drinking milk from a bowl, a dog sitting beside her and a bird looking on from overhead. This endearing ... morescene is framed by an aesthetic background of flowers, birds and lots of geometrical whimsies. The rims are decorated with a criss-cross border and fruit trim. The plate is faintly and illegbly marked'with pattern number 780 and registration number 106741 registered to the Staffordshire pottery maker Charles Allerton in the last quarter of the 19th century and made for export. The plate is in great condition with no chips cracks or repairs except for a firing split on the back side that does not penetrate to the front. The workmanship is haphazard. The transfers are not all aligned neatly, there are stray skips and slips of border trim and little bumps and dips that were glazed over in the factory and runny smeary glaze. Mint condition. No signs of wear or use Gmundner Keramik. Austria, hand painted pedestal pitcher/ewer, beautiful ly shaped. Flow green hand painted stripe. Might be older version of Vertigo Flame, holds 5 cups. 7 5/8" tall, 5 3/4" wide. Base has Gmundner mark. Hard to photograph due to the light color of the mark. And#2999/2 embossed on base. Interesting black underglaze crest with the surname Fehrer. Which means ferryman or bo atman. Please note any white markings on the glaze are light re flections.
