Vintage 12.5x Dissecting Stereo Microscope Ocular Lens Pair
A pair of vintage 12.5x dissecting microscope ocular lens that appear to be German made from the teen's or 20's to me. However, there is no makers mark to be found. Outside diameter of the slip tube is 31.0 mm and it measures 44.6 mm tall. Condition is very good with some light wear but no real significant cosmetic issues and the optics are as clean and bright as ever. No spots, haze, scratches, etc. Free shipping. Bausch & Lomb Optical Stereo Microscope w/Dovetail Wood Case Serial # ED 3160
This microscope and case are paired together as originally purchased. Box is 11 1/4" x 8 1/4" x 13" tall. Very nicely crafted solid wood dovetail custom box. Interior components all present. As is chrome finished metal D-handle, mounting bracket, door hinges and other hardware. Lock is present but jammed in"locked" position with bolt extended. Looks like someone did a little prying and no key came-with, so some repair and a key will be in order if you like. Wood is a medium color- maple or walnut perhaps? There are some spots of paint and a little damage bottom corner(enlarge pic#12) and the bottom of case(pic#11) is scratched as expected. The scope is in Very Good condition and complete. Lenses swivel appropriately as well as up/down adjustment from 10 1/2" tall to 13" maximum height. Inserts are both 10X ... morewide F, no damage noted nor noticeable cloud to indicate mold. Glass 2-sided circular reflector plate also no cracks, chips, a little light soiling to light side, nothing noticeable on dark side. No indication of abuse nor unsightly wear, and though the right side knob appears slightly bent it operates well and may have been cross-threaded when last applied. Both it and the left are tight and I have done nothing to this but dust and inspect to list for Ebay. Tag attached is from Bausch and Lomb Optical Co. Rochester NY and has handwritten in pencil the initials of inspector and order number as well as"Catalogue# 31-26-10-63, Serial# ED 3160" as well as number listed on microscope"091203" This is probably a 1960's era instrument but a check of their website will probably reveal its exact age using the numbers above. Offered here is a Bausch& Lomb stereo microscope with laboratory quality optics. Featuring three sliding stereo objectives of 2X. 4X, and 7.5X magnification, and 15X wide field eyepieces, yielding 30X, 60X and 112.5X total magnification. The optics are clear and without damage. The moving pieces, gears and adjustment wheels all operate smoothly and securely. There is some very minor paint loss from normal use and storage. Hi.I have for sale a superb Meiji EMZ stereo zoom microscope that comes complete with a Flexilux 300 longlife light source.This is a super set up and ideal for intricate close up work,insects,metallurgy etc.The mircorsope has lovely smooth action to its controls and this model has a back lit light source that is fully controllable.Also this comes with a Flexilux 300 longlife light source that projects direct light on to the specimen.This is also fully controllable too.The optics on this are stunning!They are crystal clear with no blemishes or inclusions in the field of view.I am not sure of the objective lenses but to give an example,a 20p coin nearly fills the field of view.When you zoom in,a single G letter covers approx 1/3rd of the view.The eyepieces have 10x magnification.The cosmetic condition of the microscope is excellent with no ... moredamage to the base etc.There are no strip clamps and the glass platform is a replacement but it is a very nice quality microscope.
