Ingersoll Rand DXR800 Refrigerated Compressed Air Dryer For sale- an Ingersoll Rand DXR800 Refrigerated Compressed Air Dryer. Physically it is in decent shape as best I can tell. But was sold to me with the note that the manifold has holes in it. I’m not in the AC business so I don’t know the terminology. But I am guessing if the cooling manifold has holes in it the refrigerant(R22 in this case) leaks out. So it is being sold for parts or repair only. The unit was manufactured in 12/99. Serial number 99MDXR7008. I was thinking that I could get my brother in law. A commercial refrigeration guy, to refurbish it, but noting now that it requires 400 volts, 3 phase AC which I don’t have access to, I don’t think he could fix it without it being powered up at some point. Not ideal but I wasn’t in a position to do anything about it at the time. I will at least try to stand it up once I take it out to the warehouse and have access to a forklift. I was only able to find one reference of any value to it online. Somebody has one here. Presumably working, for $2650. They show the weight as 1300 pounds but having opened it up just to take a look I can’t see it weighing nearly that much. I may change my mind when I try to stand it up. But for now we will use that as a shipping weight. It trailered awfully well to be that heavy though. While I still have it on the trailer I could potentially deliver it myself up and down the east coast. But that isn’t part of the price, and you would have to have a way to get it off the trailer and stand it up yourself. When I opened it up I also opened up the electrical box on the thing. Old C1920 Triple Cylinder Engine ??? Steam or Compressed Air
Recently found here in Maine at a small estate sale. A unique little triple cylinder engine of some sort- I have no idea exactly what. It appears to have been powered by live steam or compressed air and provided belt power for some special purpose. Still has compression and all moving parts are free. Metal tubing connecting to middle cylinder is not complete. Fly wheel is 8" in diameter. Visually this is quite neat and with work I believe that it could be made to run again. This is a used 92 cubic inch 4500 psi Crossfire air tank. The tank appears to be in amazing condition but it is out of hydro. And therefore has not been tested.
