I have 220 trees tapped every year and where I make maple syrup to sell and use a vacuum system. I need to install new taps every year for maximum production. In spite of this low production season posted by most sugar makers, I exceeded my last year's production with these spouts and took in 2,010 gallons of sap this season. These taps are good for at least two more seasons with a vacuum system and if you are using a conventional gravity system, you can go unlimited amount of years with these taps.
